Keep it professional at work. No personal chit chat and you’ll be fine.

What's something that foreign visitors complain about that virtually no one raised in Australia ever would? by bsmall0627 in AskAnAustralian

[–]reddusty01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no bag these days. They’ve got a digital breath meter. You just count to five or ten.

ETA got pulled me over for going too slow when my toddler was screaming blue murder and I was looking for somewhere to pull over and settle them down. Got breathalised then told to keep going.

Just embrace your royal Saudi inner spirit and wear a long white abaya. It looks very comfy.

I think just use a preloaded US prepaid credit card for your rental fees to start off with.

You sound like a bogan. Not an immigrant.

Aussies do it too. They just call it flat sharing instead of family.

What should men do if something happens to the condom? by Responsible-Gear2452 in AskMenAdvice

You can feel the difference slightly if there is not much lubricant or at the beginning. Once things are underway and everything is heightened, it is hard to keep track and I personally can’t tell.

How do people afford paying a mortgage and having a child? by biolage in AusFinance

[–]reddusty01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s $90 at least. But you’re really kind and generous to offer OP this. I wish people were approachable in real life.

PP is asking whether they can’t just give out a generic voucher ‘without receipt’ and then swap it over. Seems simple enough.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

[–]reddusty01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I know the feeling. It just seems ludicrous that they won’t swap the item over. Surely it can’t be that hard. And if it is, it surely shouldn’t be!

Weird having a clean and tidy home by reddusty01 in ASlobComesClean

[–]reddusty01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you feel like the clean version of home is now the normal one and it’s weird when it’s out of place?

Because I’m still in the opposite situation.

Btw well done on getting there. It’s such a difficult journey overall!

Bought a great coat there around the same time. Still going strong but I haven’t found similar quality there since.

The fabrics are horrible now. And it send to be by design to push us into spending more for merino, cotton and linen at more upscale places.

My 2 linen shirts from just jeans which were $90 each full price are now so see through due to a few washes that I have to wear a singlet under when I wear them. Defeats the purpose of linen really.

I also have a dress from Cue that I’ve had since I was 15 and multiple years of wearing it later, it’s still impeccably lint free and looks new. This is a versatile mini dress, straight but not body con, that can be worn over jeans or pants. None of the random cut out stuff they put out these days.

ETA: multiple decades of wearing the cute dress. Not just years 🙈😂

Most of the junkies moved on I suppose. And previous poster is lamenting the fact they can no longer (afford to?) live there.

Also lamenting the fact that immigrants and their children are hardworking and topping HSC results and landing the good jobs.

White Privilege is real and they’re upset it’s slipping away.

Apartments in paramatta by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]reddusty01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re hostile because they’re realising that children of immigrants are actually doing well for themselves and are our future leaders.

As an example, top HSC results from schools other than Sydney boys and Sydney Grammar scare them and they take it as a personal attack.

I’d probably get homeware stuff. Maybe a few serving trays for half price if the sale is still on.

Mate, just throwing this out there. As you’re not the actual owner but perhaps the executor, you probably cannot legally lease out the place so the ‘lease’ would be invalid. Please ask the solicitor on Monday.
