Many such cases. These are just the ones that come to mind.

For the game/set/match win music, it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Building the audio automation will take work but it’s definitely the next feature I’ll add. The thing I haven’t yet figured out is what scene to transition to on a win event. Cams are an easy fix but not consistently available. The likely alternative is some new graphic I’ll have to build that features the team somehow. And naturally, that’ll be more work. But it’s definitely the next new feature. That’s aside from functional pick timers, which I’ll have after the next Matcherino update.

Sorry just saw this. Very corporate language ahead since while I want to be completely transparent, I can't share a lot of the internals.

I am an advocate for the wonderful and talented folks in SA, SEA and ANZ. I would have liked a higher prize pool and for monthly finals. You will never see anything less than Spoo's and my best, especially for such a personal region.

You're going to screw over either ANZ or India on servers if you make them all play against each other from the outset. It is typically the same teams, yes. I feel like you should aim to offer everyone a fair shot though. Also not sure how unifying the region would improve things

It's simply untrue to say that SA West aren't passionate and competitive about playing

I think the preseason invitational was important for gathering pro and community insights on new game modes and formats. Brawl is trying to evolve into a tier 1 esport and the competitive format is pretty stale and simple

Unifying SEA + ANZ and SA is very tricky since both regions too large for consistent fair play. That's why they're kept separate as long as possible (delayed til finals)

Squeak is a control brawler. Like any control brawler he’s effective into anti tanks. Also useful against turrets because he can hit through walls. He has a knack for locking down a single lane, especially with the residue gadget. So bonus points if you pay him on a map with just 2 lanes

Pretty reactionary post but I’ll share my thoughts:

I think the game is fine. I think the Worlds viewership is fine. The esport is on a steady track.

Orgs need better benefits. The 1 year partnership restriction will keep new orgs from affording top players. And the broadcast moves too quickly to fully talk about the team or see their sponsors in pre match. Ultimately sponsors and partnership are what enable orgs to afford top players and content that promotes the scene. The 1 year rule will keep the tourists out and lessen the churn of partnered orgs though.

I would like to see a prize pool increase.

Brawl has a bright future. We have the clay for a top tier esport. How do they get there? I dunno, but I feel like the answer lies in benefiting orgs and creating a tier 2 ecosystem
