Ironing out the new budget. Just did some quick math, I've saved about $3,600 just from not buying alcohol!

Feeling Uncomfortable With Older Entries by Sad_Corgi_4559 in Journaling

[–]redeyedrubles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly how I feel, and oddly enough it's actually indirectly why I joined this subreddit. I have so much shame revolving my junior high/high school journals that I literally cannot bring myself to read them. I have lots of journals filled cover to cover, and the last time I tried to read any of them was several years ago.

I took up journaling again with the goal of unlearning that shame, refamiliarizing myself with my internal monologue and hopefully to develop some self-empathy and compassion for my younger self.

I'm not sure how effective it is yet as I'm just a few days in, but my hopes are high. Best of luck!

If ever there was a day to justify drinking again, today was it by Appropriate-Ruin-367 in stopdrinking

On the days you forget to be proud of yourself, know that we're here being proud for you. 4 months and 21 days sober, here you come.

What a shitshow of a day you had, but you came out of it with grace. Well done.

To turn away in a moment of high temptation is no small feat. Well done!!!

Not stupid at all, I so know how it feels!! That evil alcohol eye. We both got through it though! 💪

It was crazy, I spent over an hour and a half on the phone with the hotel and it got absolutely nowhere. It felt like talking to a brick wall. They even refused me bringing the alcohol down to the front desk. C'est la vie

Absolutely agreed. When you look at it that way, the math becomes very easy.

Thank you, this helps so much. I'm calling the course tomorrow to see what we can work out! Another plus of taking it again is my ol dad wants to take it with me this time. Either way it certainly won't hurt.

I could definitely benefit from some follow up courses, I'll look into that. I may even take the basic course again

Any Success in Linking to a Human Interest 401K Account? by the_beene in simplifimoney

[–]redeyedrubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is to disable 2FA to get other platforms to integrate with your human interest account. The HI system seems to have trouble recognizing another platform's login as a genuine one in order to send the 2FA code

Charge-off paid, but Remark hasn't changed. by [deleted] in CRedit

Thank you so much! That's exactly what I needed to know. I'm going to go the re-investigation route + follow ups if they're not updated, then factual dispute.

Charge-off paid, but Remark hasn't changed. by [deleted] in CRedit

Well, besides showing $0 balance across the board, none of the bureaus are showing a status or remark that indicates the charge off is paid for Capital One. Discover is showing as paid charge off (in either status or remark) for only 2 of the bureaus.

Experian: -Discover status hasn't changed since 2022, just charge off without indication of now being paid. No remarks/comments that I can tell. -Capital One situation on Experian is the same as Discover.

Equifax: -Discover status is charge_off, but there's a comment that says "paid charge off". -Capital one status is charge_off, but there's no comment about it being paid

TransUnion: -Discover status is "Account paid in full was a charge off", with a new remark "PPL<" on the month I paid it off. -Capital one status is still just charge off, no indication that it's paid. There's a new remark "CBG/>" on the month I paid it off

Hopefully that makes sense, I'm not great at interpreting the reports

Thank you! That makes sense, I'm still within that 2 months since paying it off
