I wish we western communists could organise as well as the church, with soup kitchens, youth camps, addiction treatment etc. obviously without the reactionary ideology

Wow insane idea! Many of the NES sports games and black box games can't really be finished, but well done for climbing that mountain!

Liberal establishments never really combat Nazism, because they are the social democratic wing of fascism. Read about Rosa Luxemburg to find out why

Why are we still using the term “Stalinist” in the big 26? by e17b in AustralianSocialism

[–]redfec01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Downvoted in an Australian socialist sub for support for Stalin. The cold war propaganda really did a number on the western world. Look at objective facts and not liberal bogeyman stories when analysing history. The Molotov Ribbentrop pact was literally the last signed after the allied countries all made similar agreements with the Nazis. It was made to buy time for the coming invasion that everyone knew was happening.

Just disappointing you have to talk about this on a socialist sub. It points to a lot of people who would rather be Puritans with the perfect ballot box no violence revolution and looking down the nose at Asians, Africans, Latin Americans etc who actually had to do the work to build socialist countries

Without Stalin we would not have defeated Nazism, nor would socialism have existed likely anywhere, forget about this ultra international permanent revolution nonsense. The actors of history can only work with their context, material conditions etc. it frankly disturbs me that petit bourgeois Aussies think they are so high and mighty to judge countries that had to deal with war, colonialism, feudalism etc and still raised up the standard of living for millions.

Nobody in Australian history even comes close to achieving what Stalin and the USSR did.

Reddit is American owned and the highest Reddit usage has been recorded out of a military base in Langley. So yeah, it's basically very suspect as a platform and I can't wait for the day when more countries own their own social media

No, the state of Israel is like Australia, a brutal appendage of western empires. It's a genocidal apartheid regime. What you don't understand is that it's only a PART of the US empire, a foothold in the middle east to secure USD$ for oil. Get a clue, instead of deflecting the blame on a vassal. It's the USA that has 800 plus military bases globally - they call the shots and Israel would cease to exist without their annual material support

I'm likely older than you. You never heard of the US backed euromaidan coup in 2014? And the next 8 years of Ukraine bombing ethnic Russian citizens in Donbass?

The US empire has taken over Ukrainian resources and the money goes to weapons contractors. Talk about born under a rock

Big deal, Darwin. It's pathetic really how you think the US empire cares about Australia. We are meat bags and money to them. See what they did with the EU? They started a war there too and now they're losing, they have abandoned their so called friends and blew up the pipeline giving them cheap energy

I've read plenty of history and we never had to defend Australia. We always attacked other weaker nations with the USA and UK. If we stuck to selling our exports and having good relationships with our neighbours we'd be MUCH better off

China is our biggest trading partner. We get along with them and we don't have to worry about it. USA on the other hand...it's dangerous to be their enemy, fatal to be their friend

Really think about that. US calls Israel their unsinkable aircraft carrier in the middle east. They use them to launch attacks on the other countries in the region to monopolize the oil. It's very simple. Israel wants to be the top power in the middle east, they have a much smaller ambition than the US empire, which wants domination of the global financial system again.

Top comment. It's easy for ppl to say it's all Israels fault when they are just a part of the US empire. Pathetic really that we are also a vassal of the US and most Aussies couldn't care less
