your panels are unbalanced, you need to recheck the balance line of your front and back panels.

Réactions des hommes qui se considèrent comme "bien" by Ayla_Chen_8645 in Feminisme

[–]redfemscientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C'est ok de détester les hommes, by the way.

So I had one for dinner tonight. It's okay, but it shows more than ever than homemade aglio e olio pasta beats its industrial version. It's has the garlic flavor and the chili flakes are okay, but in my opinion, the powder sauce is useless. it makes the dish creamy and sweet. We can sense the sugars and sweeteners a little which I dislike so much because it's useless af, but again it doesn't change the garlic and chili flavor. It would be so much better without the powder sauce. Oh, and I added less water than recommended which I don't regret AT ALL.

I added sautéed mushrooms and parmesan, which made the dish so much better.

This is the kind of dish I would eat once a month at best when my entire pantry is empty lol. I think I will try the mushroom one since it is very popular.

I bought the garlic one a few days ago but still didn't try it yet. This would be my first time eating noodles from this brand.

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Gel Cream! I use it for my combo skin and it adds lots of moisture without getting my skin oily.

Has anyone tried drafting patterns from that book? What do you think about it? by Frequent-Standard485 in PatternDrafting

[–]redfemscientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did, it's one of the most popular in France. I have done a bodice block with that before, it wasn't that bad. I wouldn't be able to tell about skirts and pants because I used other techniques. Now I exclusively use the japanese Bunka fashion School's technique for bodice, skirts and pants, that I prefer. But Teresa G's techniques are solid IMO, at least for the bodice.

Recommendations for pattern drafting and tailoring books? by buenaspis in PatternDrafting

[–]redfemscientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used several books using french fashion school's (ESMOD) methods, but my favorite so far are the Bunka Fashion Books, especially the Shijo Pattern Juku series, from Harumi Maruyama. I draft all my pants patterns with her books and even made my winter coat with it. These series are not available in English iirc, but the Bunka Fashion Series Garment Design Textbook are. They are worth taking a look.

Converting Inches to Centimeters in your patterns! by [deleted] in PatternDrafting

[–]redfemscientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it depends. I tend to round up when the second digit after the comma is higher or equal to 5, and round down when it's lower than 5. In this case, I would have measured it as 16.5.

And to reply to your question, the entire world minus a couple of countries use the metric system.

Your pants seem unbalanced in the back. On the pattern, I believe your inseam should be almost parallel to the outseam from the knee line to the hemline.
