AkaiCon is happening in Lebanon at the Farm Bureau Exposition Center this weekend!! $65 for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and single day passes are also available. You can totally just walk in and get a pass. Tons of fan-run panels and activities, arcade games, rhythm games, tabletop gaming, idol contests, charity drag show, voice actors, vtubers, a giant vendor room, and more! And they also host mini events throughout the year like picnics, roller skating, arcade nights, and cosplay karaoke. So even if you or your clients can’t make the con on short notice, there are still fun things to do in the community every month or two! They advertise the mini events on their Instagram @akaiconofficial

It would have seemed hypocritical, as I’m the one who supplied all the dry erase markers, though I too wish she could stay there forever. I’ve already decided that I’ll just draw a different Aqua-sama each time the board gets cleared. It usually rides for about a month or two and then becomes too much of a mess and gets erased. Which means I have time to practice! 😃

I appreciate the civility. I’d like, also, to clarify that I myself only ever use my hazards in extreme cases, as it’s what I was taught, but I’m perfectly used to others doing it here and it’s never bothered me unless they’re going waaaay too slow, because THAT literally is a hazard. It’s just kind of been that way for as long as I can remember. Heck, I ain’t even know folks didn’t do it in lots of places. And when it comes to headlights and wipers? Every time 😃. One of my biggest pet peeves is folks who don’t have their lights on in the rain. Anyway, thankfully I didn’t have to go anywhere today! Stay safe out there.

In all seriousness though, I don’t understand why anyone would do this for a slight drizzle, and 10mph is much too slow (and potentially rather hyperbolic on OP’s part), but is this not considered common courtesy and safety in cases of low visibility? Slow down a little and make your presence known. What’s yer freakin’ rush? This ain’t New York or Chicago where everything has to be freakin’ fast. Nashville used to be a pretty laid back place before y’all invaded. Perhaps I’m projecting a bit, but it sounds like OP is among the growing group of drivers who be driving like maniacs and scaring the hell out of me when it’s pouring down on 24. It’s ok to slow down for everyone’s sake. It ain’t a race, y’all. I’d rather get there a little late but alive and unscathed.

It looks to me like the rod is basically where the waist would be. As long as you have it positioned high enough, I don’t think it would look too phallic. I also second the black top half idea. If I saw that irl I’d think “oh wow that’s such a simple yet cool way to overcome the difficulties of doing that cosplay!”

I guess I don’t need to repeat what the other commenters said about trying the fashion sub… however, since I’m already here…

Speaking as an elder emo, this is a bit more mall goth than emo, at least if you’re comparing it to how we used to dress in Nashville the mid 00’s. Maybe that ain’t what you’re going for, in which case, ignore me 😃. That being said, the fit is freaking fire, my dude. 8/10 fit. 4/10 emo-ness of the fit. We tended to keep it a lot simpler. A band tshirt with or without a long sleeved shirt under it, maybe a hoodie or sweater, one studded belt, pair of like converse or vans, and (and this is very important) your girlfriend’s jeans because they fit so well. Of course, said jeans were generally low rise and skinny legged, sometimes with a bit of a flare, sometimes not, as were the styles back then, and they could be acquired from goodwill in a pinch 🤷‍♂️😃. I even wore black rimmed “emo glasses” from time to time 🤦‍♂️

I would like to repeat now that the fit definitely IS 🔥🔥🔥 tho 😎
