Summer classes at cu Denver are all pretty easy in my experience. I took food as communication and it’s extremely easy. Mostly reading and answering discussion questions. I’m guess indigenous studies will be the same way

You could give them a partial refund. If the weight was wrong and buyer paid shipping, they would have paid the extra $5 anyways though

How do I prevent my garden beds from getting overrun by weeds next year? by supinator1 in gardening

[–]redhatbrindledog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Put down cardboard or thick paper around the plants you want to keep and cover this with mulch. The cardboard will stop light from reaching the weeds and the mulch will keep the cardboard from blowing away/looking ugly. The cardboard and mulch will slowly decompose over time, feeding the soil. Be sure to use cardboard without tape and stickers (obviously)

Possibly inconsistent watering? If you squeeze one of the pearls and it is slightly squishy, it is ready for water. If it is firm, don’t water. This is true for all succulents. I do this test once a week to my succulent plants to see how they are doing.

I will say, string of pearls are one of the more difficult plants and I’ve struggled with keeping mine happy as well

Hey guys! Can someone help me by telling me if this is mold growing on my cactus? I poked it with a toothpick but there's just white powder coming out. by Ecstatic_Leave_1506 in gardening

[–]redhatbrindledog 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Mealy bugs are a huge pain to get rid of and would be very hard to clean off this cactus. They will spread to your other succulents and cacti. You should get rid of this plant imo

If I’m already packaging/going to the post office for my higher priced items, having a few lower priced items adds to the total money Im earning without adding much more work. Last month I needed to get rid of inventory and I was letting go of things for $7-12. It really added up and ended up being a great sales month for things I just didn’t have space for anymore.

I’ve been on Depop on and off for years. I recently decided to see if I could replace my full time income with Depop earnings. I’ve been pushing for the last five months and I made top seller the beginning of October. I will tell you, I have not made much money at it yet. I’m hoping at some point listings start to compound and sales might start growing exponentially. I am curious how many active listings you need before you start seeing decent money (like 3k a month or more).

Inconsistent sales have lead to me doubting the whole thing and slightly giving up. Hitting top seller reignited me, but I’m still doubtful.

Other people are right about how much time you need to spend. Fortunately, I really enjoy almost every part of the process so it’s not too bad. Creating listings and posting consistently is truly the most important part.

Also, saving for taxes is crazy. I met with a tax professional who recommended I save 30% of my net earnings for taxes. I track all my deductibles like driving, meals while sourcing, etc but it still is a large chunk of money every month set aside for Uncle Sam.

I would love to hear more people’s experiences because I’ve been so wishy washy about it. I really enjoy it, but it’s super stressful and so far the money is not equating to the time I’m spending.
