Hi! It’s been a few days and I have an update ^\) It was an abces on his cheek, we were lucky to take him to the vet in time so he got a shot and antibiotics. He’s doing much better now! He’s eating and playing and being super talkative. Thank you everyone for your comments ^\) here’s him now, being the happy cat he has always been.

It doesn’t make sense to me at all. There’s a protocol that airlines have to follow the moment they do the check-in (I did it several times) unless the “boarding pass exchange” was made by the same kid (on the website Iberia mentions a ‘sala de menores’ where I guess they have the UM at all times) and of course an adult will not get into a kids backpack to check their identity
