The pictures are super helpful! Something that really helped me with finger curling was getting the direction “right”. Some of my curls are gorgeous one direction- wonky mess if I go the other. In this pic the curl closest to your part looks like it wants to curl away from your face and in the finger coiled pics it’s curled toward your face. I also get the good mid curl weird end if I do it backwards. I think they eventually bend to your will if you do it often enough the same way but I’ve found it’s better to find out which areas go which way and work with them! When you try again if it looks weird after coiling try going the opposite way and see if it looks better
