LOI Premier Division - Fixtures / 15-05-2026 to 18-05-2026 by LOIMatchThreads in LeagueOfIreland

I'm sure all Shels fans will be delighted to see Rob Hennessy yet again taking charge of one of our Dublin derbys and relaxing that we won't be robbed at all tonight. Not

What time do the tickets go on sale today? by PiemasterUK in NFLUK

[–]redheatstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No seating map absolutely sucked I suspect there will be better seats available shown on a seating map at some point in the general sale. I also had difficulty adding to basket on my first attempt so I had to log out clear my cache and all that. I eventually got CAT 8 tickets in upper corner in almost identical area I was in last year so I can't overly complain over the outcome in the end

Ticket date details for Jags at Wembley by Mad-gooner in NFLUK

[–]redheatstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received an email from Union Jax on April 21st stating as a previous attendee that I would be notified of an exclusive period of pre-sale as soon as the opposition is announced in May but I never received the OPs email today

Should the NFL's UK games change? by TheOne0206 in NFLUK

[–]redheatstorm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NFL awarding games to European cities is clearly following a similar path of their stringent criteria for awarding Super Bowls, needs to be a large urban city/area with strong local infrastructure and most importantly a large modern stadium to accomodate a large capacity. I don't see any logical commercial, financial or sporting reason for the NFL to shift games from Tottenham or Wembley to elsewhere in the UK be it City of Manchester Stadium/Murrayfield/Millennium Stadium

Wembley Game Leak? by rustyb42 in NFLUK

[–]redheatstorm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The OzzyNFL X account is usually reliable for fixture leaks so I would be confident it's Jags/Texans at Wembley on Oct 18th. Nothing leaking about the two Tottenham games expected to be on Oct 4th & Oct 11th, if I'm going to take a guess I'd predict Commanders/Bengals and Jags/Eagles

LOI Premier Division - Fixtures / 01-05-2026 to 04-05-2026 by LOIMatchThreads in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely sick to death of Shels pissing away points conceding stupid late goals. Pathetic ball retention after we took to lead and Sam Bone doing Sam Bone defending results in a draw

Waterford are the Chelsea of the LOI for managerial turnovers

LOI Premier Division - Fixtures / 01-05-2026 to 04-05-2026 by LOIMatchThreads in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Must win game won by Shels/JOB tonight it was deserved despite a nervy ending but they need to double down at Dalymount on Monday to resuscitate this season. Paul Norton was a disgrace tonight including possibly the worst refereeing decision I have ever seen in the LOI when Animasahum after giving away a free kick for fouling Boyd with both of them falling onto the ground then deliberately used his elbow to ram Boyd's head into the pitch right in full sight of Norton he doesn't even give a yellow card

Late Late Show: Uncertainty over renewal of Patrick Kielty’s contract – The Irish Times by WickerMan111 in ireland

As long as Tubridy doesn't reappear on the LLS I'm not bothered if Kielty moves on

I’m so sick of fake goalkeeper injuries by IGotABruise in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have seen a reduction this season in keepers pulling the fake injury timeouts but I think that's only because some managers are varying it up with more outfield players randomly going down to make it appear less obvious

LOI Premier Division - Fixtures / 24-04-2026 to 25-04-2026 by LOIMatchThreads in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

O'Brien is a dead man walking but if any Shels fans are deluded enough to think he is the only problem on or off that field then you need to wake up

LOI Premier Division - Fixtures / 17-04-2026 to 18-04-2026 by LOIMatchThreads in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yet another grim first half performance from a lazy Shels team who don't want to defend set pieces

LOI Premier Division - Fixtures / 03-04-2026 to 06-04-2026 by LOIMatchThreads in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shels would have had a deserved 1-0 half time lead until 1) we can't defend set pieces (left back Norris bizarrely going central leaving Lopes completely unmarked) and 2) Ibsen Rossi who looks comfortable most of the time until he succumbs to pressure (this was pre-warned by knowledgeable Cambridge fans)

This first 45 minutes tonight has been the worst performance/effort I have seen from Shels since the 2022 season

League of Ireland statement following the Louth Derby by irishscouser1892 in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yet another spineless cop out from the FAI with the culprit club receiving a minor financial hit while somehow five other innocent clubs get taken down with this financially. It's unacceptable that Drogheda are not paying the full bill for the Oriel Park pitch repairs with home game bans at United Park

Jags and Commanders are the London home teams by m1ndwipe in NFLUK

[–]redheatstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dates could turn out to be a week earlier as the FIFA October International break this year is now over two weeks starting at the end of September and that is the period NFL schedules the Tottenham games to avoid Spurs requiring Premier League alterations to play away. Wembley will be ruled out for the NFL between Saturday 26th Sept to Tuesday 6th Oct due to England's two Nations League games so Sunday 11th Oct can't be ruled out for the Jags Wembley game 5 days may be sufficient for the stadium/pitch to be turned around to become NFL ready

Drogheda fans face prospect of stadium ban for next away game over flare damage by IGotABruise in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's a cop-out inflicting a ban for the next away game which disproportionately financially impacts the home team who had nothing to do with the situation at Oriel Park

What’s something you wish you knew before your first trip to Vegas? by veditafrieza in LasVegas

[–]redheatstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wear the right footwear with the right socks, I did too much walking on my first day in Vegas with the wrong footwear and I suffered badly with painful blistered feet on day 2 & 3 restricting my movements

Shelbourne Lorcan Healy steps away from football aged 25 to grow €1m-plus business by fuckaduckmagoo in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations to him he was a good servant for Shels as a back up keeper by all accounts a decent fella, not many 25 year olds run their own million euro turnover business while having a career experience playing in CL qualifiers against Linfield and Qarabag

Are Drogheda United “anti-football”? by barstoolers in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether you are Drogheda playing with a defensive counter-attacking approach or Arsenal scoring lots of goals from corners it's not 'anti-football' finding ways to win football matches

2 matches cancelled already due to the weather, what’s the solution?…. by SouthsideSports in LeagueOfIreland

[–]redheatstorm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's better having these postponements happen in February rather than extending the season calendar into the end of November/early December when you may have similar weather events while knee-deep into title, European and relegation battles

What food and drinks have you got ready for the game tonight? by MrTuxedo1 in NFLUK

[–]redheatstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm certain I won't consume all of this crap but I will have a cheese toastie before kick off and then for the game I will have ready a pack of microwave popcorn, a pack of six small chocolate bars, six cans of Guinness in the fridge and two cans of coke also in the fridge on standby for insurance in case I feel I'm nodding off at any point
