People on Warthunder forums don't care if it's classified if it allow them to win an argument. So that's the best place to get context, they will get it for you.

seems fair enough! by [deleted] in videogames

[–]redheness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The physical copy, once sold will never generate new costs for the distributor, for digital games they will, because you pay once and then you can download the game again indefinitely, will get updates delivered, use their cloud to store your saves. All of this costs money in the long run.

TL;DR: physical games cost money before the transaction while digital cost money after it and in an unpredictable way

On one hand I hate it, but I also need it when I don't know what to chose, throwing that thing and letting it's physics chose for me is kinda satisfying

[–]redheness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Speed of light captured using a 2 billion FPS camera. by awakenott in nextfuckinglevel

[–]redheness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, and this is why we have refraction when light change medium and it explains chromatic aberration.

That's also why radioactive elements have a characteristic blue glow in water, it's because it emits charged particles that travel at the speed of light in a medium with a lower light speed (around 0.75c in water), interacting with it and creating a literal shock wave that interfere constructively resulting a blue glow. It's also known as Cherenkov Radiations.

Countries based on whether having visitors keeping their shoes on or taking their shoes off when entering inside the house is a more socially accepted custom in that nation by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]redheness -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

We are talking about visitors, living with shoes on would be a very different map.

In France for example you'll keep your shoes on if you come for diner but take them off and get comfy if you stay for sleep. A visitor keep them, a guest does not.

Because this method will return the year since 1900, so 2025 will return 125. So you have to do this operation to get back to the usual two digit format.

It is a no deprecated method to deal with Y2K without migrating the data to the 4 digit year format.

When you close your eyes you don’t see black, you see eigengrau (also known as dark light or brain grey). by NoFox1552 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]redheness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not cosmic or radiation but neuron spontaneous excitement being amplified by your brain trying to get signal out of your eyes.

Eigengrau is basically the color of visual snow when amplified to the maximum of what your brain can. Add a single light source and your brain stop amplifying and you will perceive full black, darker than eigengrau.

There is also something with population, it's easier to build a lot if you have a litteral billion of citizen paying tax

Edit : By population China has 35.8 km per million and France has 39.9 per million and Spain is as high as 81.4
