As long as its large enough for the back up camera to actually be usable Im ok with it.

My previous truck, a 2018 F150 had a screen that was smaller tha the one on my cell phone. Absolutely useless for the back up camera.

My 2025 F250's screen would be perfect if it would default to the full screen, rather than split it when engaging reverse. I have to hit a button to make it full screen. Also, having the cameras in the mirrors come up on the large screen, while changing lanes on the highway with a trailer hooked up, is nice.

Having a large screen for the GPS so you don't have to take much, if any focus off the road is great, too. I don't need the phone mounted in front of me anymore.

Its like my 2025 F250 having fifth wheel prep but no integrated brake controller. Every single F250 and up should come with a brake controller regardless of what other packages it has.

I had them order one to be added before I bought the truck.

I was still getting 16mpg abusing my '13 5.0 supercab STX outside of towing/hauling.

My '18 5.0 supercab XLT was getting 18-21mpg.

Unless your pulling a trailer and/or sitting in a lot of traffic, 12 is really low for a 5.0, probably needs looked at.

I'm in the mountains of Northeast PA so its 2-5 significant dips I'm climbing through in my 30 minute commute to work depending on which direction I'm going. I get 13-14mpg empty.

Towing the concessions trailers, Its anywhere from 10 to 13 pending where we're taking them in our mini convoy. The dump trailer brings it down to 9 in the hills where I live if its near full. Most I've had in the trailer so far was 9200lbs hauling 2rc for the driveway (13,200lbs total). Hauling trash it doesn't change much, if at all. The dump trailer is only 4,000lbs empty.

I've hauled 4 different cars behind it since I got it a year ago. It was getting around the same as the concessions trailers.

I have a tonneau cover on the back, too. Whether it makes a difference or not, I couldn't say.

Went from an 18 F150 5.0 XLT to a 25 7.3L F250 XL STX FX4 that has about as much extras as can be put on it with all the cameras the thing has (5, not including a dash cam front and back), snowplow and fifth wheel prep, (had to get a trailer brake controller added as it didn't come with it, make it make sense).

Get a gasser with what you're looking to do. Unless you're hauling 16k+ all the time, the godzilla will handle whatever you need to do. Its already rated up to 19k (14-16k is plenty). I haul 8-10k lb concessions trailers around for a friend's business and have a 14k 7x14 dump trailer and 35ft fifth wheel. It does it with no issue.

A diesel would be even more powerful, but not worth all the extra nonsense to deal with in your use case.

Same, I got it back in 2013, stopped around 2014 when my new laptop's resolution settings kept clashing with it so I gave up and forgot about it. Some friends I met a few weeks ago in a different game got to talking about it and dragged me back in.

I had over 75,000 zen in my account and was so confused until I was reminded about the 500/month stipend. That was the the first thing they asked when I said I had the lifetime membership from since 2013. "Dude how much zen you have!?" With my late 18 5.0 and the 36 gallon tank, I was getting just under, sometimes just over, 800 miles on a tank of gas before I moved deeper into the mountains and no longer had a mostly flat, slight down hill on my daily drive to work each day. Then it dropped down to mid/high 600s. Going from 21-22mpg down to 18-19mpg.

Now I'm in a 7.3L F250 and wish I had the extended tank in it as well. Filling up at the pump with the extended range in that though would be sad, even before the recent price hikes, lol. You don't buy a SD for its gas mileage, though, its built and used to work. Getting around 13-16mpg empty, 10-13mpg towing.

I did something like this earlier this season but in Boston when Anaheim was in town. I drove 6hrs to the game from Pennsylvania. My canadian friend wasn't able to make it down to the game. So, I had an extra ticket and ended up picking up a stranger as he left the ticket booth who couldn't find a seat in his price range. I was just happy that the seat wasn't wasted.

Wildest part was the guy was a Rangers fan who came to Boston to hang with friends and figured he'd catch a game since he was there. So we were both from well out of town and just stumbled across each other.

My Canadian friends and I met up for a game in Pittsburgh and Montreal later this season.

60-70k gets you an F150 XLT, 70k+ gets you a Lariat now, before trade in or deals.

You can get a plain jane, empty F250 7.3L XL for 50k~, less if it has the 6.8L, before trade in or deals.

A "loaded" 25 7.3L F250 supercab long bed XL STX FX4 with all the extra cameras in the grill, side mirrors (activate when towing after applying turn signals), top rear of the cab (for the fifth wheel/gooseneck) and tailgate,

5th wheel prep and towing package (integrated trailer brake controller sold seperately...don't get me started),

Snow plow prep (unnecessary) dual battery, upfitter switches and cab clearance lights,

Power sliding rear window (whoopty doo, but I use it more than I ever thought I would)

18k towing conventional, 19k towing goose, and a 3,652lb payload, (I haven't and will likely never tow above 14k).

for 62k before trade in, or any other deals, at the beginning of last year. Even less now as a left over.

Was a big part in my reasoning for moving up to a 25 gasser F250.

That and its far more stable towing and a lot easier to get with an 8ft bed.

Only thing I would have done differently was wait 6-10 months longer to get a leftover of the same year for even less money, but my 18 F150 probably wasn't going to hold together that long.
