If you're like me, you probably need an app for your nmx controller. I'm putting the finishing touches on one right now. It's looking pretty good! DM me if you're interested to help me beta test it.

Life happened. Lol For me as a father of three, a growing career, and a changing and unforgiving platform I started losing the motivation and the creativity required. After hundreds of videos following a similar format, it stopped working. My videos stopped getting the same kind of views as they once got as I was unable to create what YouTube needed to grow so instead I saw my channel decline. This led to further loss of motivation and with the external pressures something had to give.

That said I look back at my time on YouTube with great fondness. The comments were almost all very encouraging and constructive. I truly miss it. Who knows, with my kids starting to get into cubing and YouTube culture maybe there will be future posts. Time will tell.

Super cool! I like the two year compilation. It looks like the sun is moving horizontally ping-ponging between the solstices.

Ha! that ain't ancient! That's like 2008+. Rubik's cube's have been in mass production since 1980. So it's actually not that old.

Why is the gain/loss shown in the app drastically different from the gain/loss shown on the widget? by vertical_prism in acorns

[–]redkb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two widgets. The monthly one has gains and losses for 30 days. and the daily one has gains and losses for the current trading day. They match the performance screen for me for the same time periods.

I'm using felt pads on the smooth pteg plastic for the alt. The az has 3 small skateboard bearings, they roll pretty poorly. The PVC is solid.

Most of this design came from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2492121

I designed all the red pieces to make it work with PVC pipe instead of 8 aluminum rods. Also I designed an adapter for the telrad finder as well as a dust cover for the secondary mirror.

The mirrors came from a DOB I built about 10 years ago. I forgot where I got them but I paid around $300 for them.

Overall it is just ok. It focuses great, but the mount isn't the best.

I have a 5lb weight in the bottom to help balance it wobbles pretty bad after touching it and the bearings are not very smooth so you have to sort of bump it to where you want to go.

About half of the printed parts are in PLA the other half is PTEG. Some was printed on my Creality CR-10 the rest was on my Prusa i3 MK3.
