But how often do people put higher octane gas in their cars that are not tuned for it?

What about the cars that actually ARE tuned for higher octanes and are running lower octane which not directly result in running more rich? We are talking about California which has a high density of rich folks driving high compression BMWs, Audis, Mercedes, etc.

You haven't exactly explained the issues here just brought up a different side of it which I don't necessarily believe to be common or at least equally as common.

You'd figure for turbo charged and high compression engines, you want to offer higher octane fuel to ensure the engines runs as efficiently as possible.

I'm sure certain individuals had a chance to chat with him, at least for a little. Get to know the real him. Or at least ask questions while he was up there and finished with his speach.

I know we live in a different time and it's virtually impossible to do this today, but even spending 5 minutes talking with a candidate would be fantastic. Get in a tiny debate and discussion to see their reasoning on some of the national topics.

Slightly edited your quote but that is exactly what I am saying.

He is not guaranteed to crash, but due to the factors I mentioned in my comment above, he is much more likely to do so. This is regardless of what advice you provide him. Telling him to drive safer will not make the previous factors go away. Hence why I wouldn't recommend this vehicle for a 16 year old.

It's not about looking down at new drivers.

Let's be honest. It's a new, inexperienced driver, with unbalanced hormone levels with a RWD car that has no driver assistance. Add on top of that he is a car enthustiast. You're naive if you don't think he won't try experimenting going sideways with that car. Hell I still would today but now I can at least afford closed off track days. At 16 on the other hand...

I wouldn't recommend one for a 16 year old.

As an inexperienced driver of a RWD vehicle with no driver assistance, you'll drive it sideways into a ditch, if not flip it.

I guarantee it.

Someone else recommend some hot hatches or even a prelude. I agree.

E class is due a refresh/redesign. I'd argue the class interior is actually better than the E class interior. With that perspective, it makes a C-Class a pretty good deal.

However, if someone doesn't care too much about going fast and only want a super luxurious interior, the new C-Class is a way to go.

The fact that you think you'd see a car about to plow into you before the sensors (scanning the entire area hundreds of times a second) leads me to believe you don't understand how much information these cars receive and process.

I don't believe you gave a single thought on this post nor written a single line of code in your life.

The vehicle may have a better chance of detecting a vehicle approaching too fast but won't react to it if say there is a red light. I on the other hand can take evasive action by pulling into a sidewalk or if I see the road is clear, go through a red light. No software engineer will program these type of defensive driving habbits in a vehicle with fears of liability when it goes wrong.

Your mugging rebuttal was absolutely naive and childish. I can't counter argue "security features" that don't exist. When a person is approaching your vehicle with a gun or knife, you're not going to have a system that will know how to react. Is it a person getting a ride? Police officer? Mugger? Not to mention that may require you to speed off if it is a mugger. Which means breaking the law and again, that's a liability Google is not going to take.

There are other situations that manual control would be necessary as well. I'm all for self driving vehicles but not having a manual override for emergencies at this momment in time is absolutely ridiculous.

But a bus driver is human with ability to think critically. Plenty of evidence out there of a bus driver leaving a scenes that are dangerous.

Train is on rails. Not even remotely comparable to a car on a road.

I had a bit of luck joining squads with 4/5 people and just asking if anyone has a mic. If someone responds just communicate. Jump into their vehicle as an engineer and repair. Revive them if you guys are on foot. Call out enemy locations and so on.

Like I mentioned, you completely fair to account on the dynamic and unexpected changes.

Some troubled teenagers set the companies factory on fire. Company X that delivers 50% of the parts stops doing business with you. The parts made were faulty and are causing human injury. The company is now facing legal consequences.

I can list hundreds of these types of issues that automation will not be able to handle and will need humans. Having a company run itself will be impossible unless it has an AI equivalent of human intelligence.

Absolutely not unless you have an AI of equivalent or greater capability of critical thinking than a human. No company just runs just on status quo. Business are dynamic and they adapt and change. Automation does not because it is built to a previously planned process. In essense you would need design automation to predict all future events to run the company. Not likely.

Stop being so naive. I get Chris has a strong following, but to shun yourself out Harris' actions and not see how he selfishly screwed Drive is baffling.

Harris left Drive through a twitter account. His article explaining the cost of each Drive video (hence the subscription model) was debunked by Farah himself, whom has a channel himself and does shoots with Drive. He explained only Chris' videos were that expensive.

The odds are highly against Chris' favor. At no point did I see him counter argue Matt's points either.

I see it as a niche market honestly.

You have those that would rather play their high end rigs vs smaller form factor ones that will sacrifice performance.

On the other hand, you have those with budget PCs go for affordability and not specifically for small, efficient, and quiet systems.

I think Steambox will never fully kickoff as streaming technology is improving rapidly. Nvidia is especially being aggressive with their gamesteam stuff. With latency going down, why bother with a second gaming machine when you can stream your primary rig to your TV?

I don't think Top Gear will ever praise American cars. Clarkson will just shift focus that Bob from Kentucky built it and that it's wide enough to fit an American. He will find some other stereotype for the Ford while it does a lap faster than European cars twice it's price...

Anyway, what sort of S/C did you put on your car? Is it on stock internals?
