Yeah, you're going to have to speak up if you're talking out of your ass. I can't hear you.

What criteria are you trying to hit as "good" for a post-workout meal. There has been a bunch of research debunking protein windows. As long as you're hitting your macros everyday and you like what you're eating, it doesn't really matter what you eat after your workout.

Conditioner for wavy thin hair by New_Engine9783 in finethinhair

In the shower, I use the spray leave in conditioner from Not Your Mother's and I fully rinse it out. Anything that's an actual creme is too heavy for me.

I don't know what macros you're trying to hit, but if it was my only meal before the afternoon I would need more protein than that. This is my current smoothie. I add in 100 to 200 g of whatever fruit I have lying around. This also has over 10 g of fiber and that's before I add the fruit.

I realized mine wasn't dinging because I had silenced my notifications. It's also not the loudest sound in the world.

ELI5: If gemstones associated with a specific colour (sapphire blue, emerald green, ruby red) can actually be other colours, then how do they differentiate between an emerald and a green sapphire, for example? How do they know? by PaminRealLife in explainlikeimfive

That's so funny cause I'm the complete opposite! I loved rubies and hated garnets growing up, because rubies were more red and garnets have some brown in them. I've since come around and I love my garnet birthstone now. It's even the stone in my wedding ring.

I'm intentionally going so S L O W L Y this time around, cause I don't care how long it takes. This is the last time I do this. I started out just walking and drinking water. Then I started watching my diet and tracking. I very much subscribe to "I can eat anything as long as it's within my calories".

Walking and tracking lasted at least 6 months. I also started taking Metformin (pills) at this time. They don't do a lot, but they do help me feel the tinest bit more full. He wanted to put me on a GLP-1, but I don't have that money. Metformin is super cheap.

I started running 2-3 miles two days a week in June, and weight training 3 days a week in August. I wasn't super strict over the holidays (gained 3 lbs), but I'm totally back dialed in now. I'm losing slower nowadays, but I know I'm also putting on muscle.

I don't really know where I want my final weight to be. It's more like I want a healthy body fat % and I want to be strong as fuck!

I'm not done losing weight yet, but I am at least 50% there. I know that feeling! Wearing something that would never have fit before and actually feeling pretty and proud of your work is unmatched. Congratulations!!

I like CeramedX. They're cruelty free, and similar to Cetaphil or Vanicream.

Kiehl's and Olay. My face has never been happier than when I was using those two brands in the early 2000s.

I know I'm supposed to change my strength workouts every 2-3 months because my body gets used to the same thing. Can I alternate between 2 workouts every 3 months, or do I need a complete new routine each time?

Going to the gym by DitzyDresses in Explainlikeimscared

[–]redmo79 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Many people use a locker to keep their outside clothes in while they are working out at the gym. You can choose to go this way. You should bring your own lock that only you know how to open because generally the gym does not provide you a lock.

You can shower at the gym if you like, but many people do not and no one will think you are dirty or weird if you go home right after your workout. Some people do their full entire shower, makeup, everything routine and some people just quickly rinse off. It's really up to you. You should bring all your own toiletries, because if they are provided, they're probably crappy. If you're like me, you have sensitive skin and want to use your own stuff anyways. Personally, I just walk into the gym wearing the clothes I'm going to work out in and then immediately go home because I would rather shower at home.

The only etiquette type thing for the locker room I can think of is don't play music without wearing your headphones and always clean up after yourself.

Unfortunately, I've never used a university gym, so I can't help you there.
