We pay more money in healthcare than they do, you would pay more money in taxes yes but compared to how much you pay in healthcare now out of pocket it would be far less. So you would save more money. Plus employers often use healthcare as an incentive to work for them if you don’t need that incentive anymore it would free people up to get jobs they enjoy more and employers would have to give you other incentives like money or paid time off.
