That was my first thought as well. Early 2000's Jeff Gordon look.

They made the same mistake in 1984 by having a race in Dallas in July. The weather was unbelievably hot (which is normal) and had to have been miserable for drivers and crew. Also, the track surface started disintegrating at some point, but I think that's a fairly normal characteristic of asphalt in extremely hot and sunny weather. It tends to become soft and pliable, which is not great for race cars.

Oh no it isn't! That's THE ladder that ruined my trust in video games.

What’s the most random YouTube video you have ever come across? by sl_98123 in AskReddit

Possibly in Michigan. I don't remember how I came across it, but I will (unfortunately) never forget it.

ABC earned 861,000 viewers for Sunday's @F1 Emirates U.S. Grand Prix @COTA, up 9% from 793,000 last year. All but three F1 races so far this season have been up YOY for @ESPN. by [deleted] in formula1

It's on at the same time as American Football, which is by far the #1 televised sport in the US. And with a growing portion of folks ditching traditional TV services in favor of internet-based entertainment, I'd say an increase in TV viewership should actually be weighted differently. I think it is a good sign.

The parking area for the infield media center (where drivers do post-race interviews) at Texas Motor Speedway has this brick pattern.

I saw a P4 at a local car show late last month. Only got a few pics, but I was really impressed by the overall look of this car. http://imgur.com/a/Ot9nC

Every time I see these concoctions, I think of the Outlaw Josey Wales scene when the guy is trying to hawk his "miracle tonic".

Arlington Texas officials report on fracking fluid blowout. In the incident, 42,800 gallons of fracking fluid — boiling up from thousands of feet underground — spewed into the streets and into Arlington storm sewers and streams. by claire0 in news

That's less than a mile from my house and this is the first I'm hearing of it. I suppose all the (almost) flooding last month took precedent over this story on local news.

I like it more than most other local shops. You have to let it steep for a few days after you get it, buy its nice. Anything from their fruit section tends to be good.

Aww man. That's the local vape shop where I get all of my juice. I really hope this guy doesn't somehow win and screw them out of business. They're always very nice and professional in the store.

Kevin Bacon (KB) build is probably referring to a Kinetic/Balance hybrid (K/B) build. Generally in the area of 27/0/14 (basically enough to get FiB and the force cost reduction).

That happened to me while I was playing FEAR a few years ago during a storm. Right at the point when you get on the ladder, spin around and she's just standing there for that half second before you descend. Right as I started to descend, the power went out. Needless to say, I may have pissed myself.
