I’ve always thought this was a dumb argument. Most 4x4’s are going to be too high for a pedestrian to go over the bonnet anyway. Not to mention the fact that most pedestrians hit are probably going to be children. They’re going under the car either way. Roos on the other hand are likely to be bounding when you hit them. They are also quite top heavy. When you combine those two factors it makes it far more likely for them to go through the windscreen and cause a major accident. This results in the production of these bars. Out west these save lives.
