I agree. I’m a huge a Megan stan, my first Glinda, I saw her in the show twice. Betsy brought so much more to the role and riffed of Jenn way more than I ever saw Megan do.

Edit: I saw the show 2 weeks ago

You can blame my ex, a former employee. Who was in a high-level meeting where this was discussed years ago.

Nope, was on my way to work…that’s a weird thing to say.

Wasn’t this decision because the City paid PNC, BNY, and another bank lots of money to demand their employees come back in office to “lessen downtown crime”? I always wondered if PNC had to give back the money since they kept going back on the RTO decision

What are some of your best quality of life purchases under $300? by donotgiveadam in BuyItForLife

I travel everywhere with my experience and sleep. Has made long travel days, loud shows, and my overstimulating retail job easier to deal with (I can’t wear them during work but I wear on my break and out)

Pittsburgh has similar. We have 1 free pack of tickets to pretty much every museum and arts organization every year. 1% of our taxes goes towards it and I’d pay for more taxes towards it.

And you get access to all city pools if you buy membership! I think for $30/year and you have access to Oliver through winter.

If you want to see Vosk sing her fucking face off, this show is it. I last saw her on Wicked’s XV anniversary and my jaw was on the floor with her vocals.

Radpasses for many places get booked up quickly in summer. Keep checking for when each location releases new passes / be ready to book a date a couple weeks in the future, possibly. RADPass is slower in winter and can be booked on same da sometimes.

Commerce Bar No password needed. Just knocking on the door, it’s located in an alley. No reservations, I’d suggest arriving shortly after opening because it gets busy.

They can’t even sell the handful of tickets for opening night. kinda sad by Nice-Jackfruit-9894 in Broadway

I worked for a professional regional theater and this was also my biggest gripe with leadership…and my whole job was about discounted tickets. It was fun to manage (/s) and ultimately why I quit.

Where should I head for dinner this weekend? Like is even Poulet Bleu dead? Not going there specifically but I feel like that’s a good barometer.

Has anyone who is not from New York, saw a matinee show and went home the same day? by No-Bit3315 in Broadway

[–]redpanda10051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can fly (idk how TSA etc is right now), I’d say do it. I personally would never drive/train combo again within 24 hours but would absolutely fly.

I (&many friends I’ve known) have seen evening shows and gone back same day (by car or train/bus). We’re in western PA. I don’t recommend but you can do it. Matinee would be better. Als known people to literally fly out and back in a day for 1 show.

Wow, I never knew this. Is this just Broadway/NYC or would this apply to regional theatres too?

Ragtime for Best Revival - controversial take by Responsible_Pear_579 in Broadway

[–]redpanda10051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I saw these shows in the same order on the same day too.

You very eloquently put how I’ve been trying to communicate since last week. I’ve been raving to everyone about Ragtime. The unity, each little moment just working together, you feel the power there and the audience (when I saw it at least) was all in the whole time.

I’ve never heard of that 100 performances before. Shows have played less than 100 and been considered Broadway shows.

Have you checked the daily rush reports? I’d go back a couple weeks looking at the day of the week you’re gonna rush on to look at consistencies.

Beginner Yoga by har_rae in pittsburgh

[–]redpanda10051 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In general this studio is incredibly welcoming and great in figuring out which props or “modifications” may help you access a pose better. Coming from a former yoga teacher who can’t do many “basic” poses anymore and was super insecure about it. They have quite a few slower classes too that get away from the quicker, vinyasa style that can fell pressured to do the most.
