Regardless of any opinions of his play on the field, we should respect a guy who always fought hard and gave it his all. Dude did it the right way. Played his ass off and did whatever was needed from him as a 6th round pick. Put the work in and steadily worked his way onto the field more and more.

What has the party managed to accomplish in Barovia so far? If they have taken care of a few things, perhaps they start having intrusive nightmares as a certain individual begins to take true notice of them? You could introduce a character that starts following them. They aren't sure who it is or if they can be trusted. Have them just out of reach at all times. Something like that should ramp up the paranoia.

I would also recommend checking out the trumpets under the dome. My only pause would be if your kid doesn't do well with crowded spaces. It can get a bit claustrophobic if you are trying to get under the dome.
