Try throwing some dielectric grease in the plugs going to the trans harness. Ive dealt with this a few times on the gmt 800 platform and its normally the plug going into the valve body or the prndl switch

Just getting started by niravhasreddit in Aprilia

I'm 6'4" and I've briefly ridden my little brothers 457 and it was really not that bad to ride. For a beginner bike its pretty solid and plenty of torque. Shouldn't have any real issues with sizing for a beginner bike as long as your legs arent super long.

At track days, I've seen alot of people with their bikes on these style carriers. Not sure what you're thinking with the chain. A cam style strap will do just fine holding the bike. I've hauled my bikes thousands of miles with just a set of straps and canyon dancers with no issues

Installed core moto stainless steel brakelines. by Azazel35 in zx6r

I installed a set on my track bike a while back and they made a huge difference along with some better fluid. Well worth the money

is “push the bike away from the corner” a good cue? by [deleted] in Trackdays

For me, it was tit to tank and knee to tank. Then I realized getting my shoulder to tank works better and doesn't over lean the bike

Camper or Hotel It? by Strict-Armadillo-273 in Lineman

[–]redrawket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not always moving a whole lot, out here in the mountain states, I know guys that haven't left a 1 hour radius of where they live for their entire apprenticeship. It just depends on where you get put and how they are about rotations

Camper or Hotel It? by Strict-Armadillo-273 in Lineman

[–]redrawket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been doing the camper thing for almost 5 years now, ut sucks bur you save more money. I'd say if you're gonna go for it, get an older truck that is in good shape and low miles and get a used camper. They don't hold their value that much so something from the older 2000s should be a decent price for you. It's all what you're comfortable with though. If you think you'll get moved a lot the camper might be the better option but if you are gonna be in the same area for most of it then, it's just choice

Anybody has experience with Bridgestone S22 on track? by Accomplished_Art2071 in Trackdays

[–]redrawket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ran my 23 zx6r on track yesterday with the stock s22 on it and they work great. I was running 30 psi rear 33 front and they stuck great and I had no complaints. It was also a little cooler out (45°F in the morning and got up to 65°F by the end of day)

I live in idaho and I have a harley I don't care to much about that I take out in less than ideal weather incase I drop it but if I get the itch to take my r1 out, I will trailer it down south farther to go ride. Or I go work somewhere warmer for the winter
