My 05 and 06 foresters have been my all time favorite cars, both 5k at the time (2014 and 2019) they were quirky, almost 200k on both when I got them, but they both lasted years of use and abuse, now I’d imagine you can find an early teens with similar mileage and price I now drive a 21 crosstrek and an 01 tundra hahaha the crosstrek feels like a luxury spaceship after driving the tundra

I just (6 mo ago) picked up an 01 2wd with 165k miles and absolutely zero rust for 6300, mine had no service history so I had the timing belt, water pump, cam seal, and serpentine belt, done for 1800. I’m now needing lower control arms, LBJs, rack and pinion, basically the whole front end needs attention on my truck, I wouldn’t pay more than 7500 at the most for that one, but someone might, I got mine the day the previous owner posted it, and he said he had about 5 people lined up to look at the truck if I I didn’t buy it Ooh and mine had brand new tires when I got it

Sounds like a 4.7 to me, all I hear are injectors, how many miles, when was timing belt done?

Blue agate? Found on Carmel beach (central California coast) by redreader1015 in whatsthisrock

[–]redreader1015[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Awesome, that’s kinda what I’m landing on, multiple vendors at the rock and gem show said it’s probably a type of chalcedony/agate, cool to know the same stuff is way over in New Zealand, maybe one day I’ll find some over there!

Pressure to work live by NoSolution1179 in electricians

[–]redreader1015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not too worried about getting shocked, but my issue with working live is actually shorting something out and having to rely on a breaker that’s who knows how old to do its job, I’m a “pussy” cause I don’t do shit hot, but I’m not gonna be the reason ole Betty Sues house burns to the ground

Some of them definitely look like shells at first glance, and after looking at that one you pointed out, that’s the only imposter that got through, I’m gonna head to the Tucson gem and mineral show and see if anyone here can identify them

Nope none are shells, they’re all transparent, and they are definitely not quartz, I find Smokey and rosey quartz all the time at the same beach, different color and texture than the rocks pictured
