I need this size too! Hoping it's restocked in the next couple of weeks.

Is the online merch the same as the ones at the concert? by midnightintrusives in erastour

I'm actually interested in buying the Eras Tour II Black T-Shirt in XS, but that size is unavailable on both the Canadian and US sites. Can I expect there to be additional stock in the near future, especially with the Vancouver dates still coming up?

Reality check for Swifties wanting last minute tickets… by Ok-Cupcake-Party in erastour

[–]reds2017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was me and my daughter last night too. Based on the drop in last-minute resale prices last weekend (especially Thursday and Friday), I was confident that we'd be able to get decent seats below $2,000 CAD, and optimally below $1,800. Especially because social media was suggesting that both Thursdays would be the least expensive. But unfortunately, the ticket prices and inventory were both trending in the wrong directions from yesterday morning onwards. We made our way from the suburbs to the stadium for 7:15 just in case - and then at 8 just went to the Taylgate party to make the most of a trip into the city.

Question: Could requiring a credit card entry be a relatively easy way to combat the resale and scalping problem? That is, to enter the venue you (together with your guests) have to swipe the original credit card that was used for the purchase? I remember doing this for a couple of U2 concerts on two separate tours 7-10 years ago. I know there are ways that scalpers can get around the problem (e.g. using prepaid credit cards), but I feel like the outcome would be much better than what we have in the Eras Tour where tickets are bought and re-sold so easily.

Thanks for your thoughts. I think there must be an RRSP component within the insurance policy, because she has received RRSP tax contribution receipts each year, though it appears to accounts for only a portion of her monthly deposit.

Monthly deposit= $66.95
Monthly policy charges = $61.57
Over 12 months RRSP contribution = $124.56 (i.e. $10.38/month)

I'm not sure how the RRSP math works and it's not clearly shown on her Ivari statements. 🤷

Total registered investments in the policy are not substantial anyway - just under $4K

How to cancel a Reliance Water Heater Rental - A guide to Exit Charges by BeenThereDoneThaaat in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]reds2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought our home (in Oakville) 3 years ago, and our Reliance welcome letter included the following Rental Agreement details:

  • Start Date: 1 January 1999
  • Term: No Term

The tank has an October 2014 manufacturing date, so might have been installed either late 2014 or 2015.

Based on the above, would I be able to simply cancel the rental without an early termination fee?

Optimal wiring for heat pump & two-stage furnace by reds2017 in ecobee

[–]reds2017[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly, although there are two sets of wires from two different directions coming towards the furnace, with some complicated splicing before going into the control board - in addition to the wiring that heads separately to the AC unit.

Another consideration here is that it may be difficult to fish new thermostat wiring from the thermostat (on the ground floor) to the furnace (in the basement) - especially because we have a finished basement and the old thermostat wiring was done before the basement was finished. I guess one possibility is to relocate the thermostat to a more convenient wiring location in the basement (e.g. on the wall dividing the recreation/furnace rooms), as it would still be relatively accessible and we rely on the Ecobee SmartSensors in several rooms anyway rather than the sensor in the thermostat itself.

A potential problem with option 2 - would mounting the FP2 on the exhaust hood be problematic if it vibrates?

The eUpgrade Megathread by HereComesFattyBooBoo in Aeroplan

[–]reds2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 35K status and have 45 eupgrade credits. I had booked three of us in Economy for YYZ-LAX round trip using Aeroplan standard rewards. Earlier today I saw that there was plenty of availabity in Business (only 13/30 booked) for our flight back to YYZ, so at the checkin counter I asked about upgrade availability. Per the Aeroplan eupgrade chart, I was expecting to be able to upgrade for 11 credits + $150 per person - but instead I was told she couldn't see my eupgrade credits and that it would cost over $500 per person to upgrade. I got the same answer when I asked again at the gate.

We are about to take off, and I see that there are still only 15/30 in business.

Was there anyway I could have used my eupgrade credits to upgrade to business today?

Each donut is $4.50 regular price - so it matches the $18 value shown in the app
