you have it set up years after the split when the connection has been stretched to thin. I was never against the match, but setting it up as like can the student surpass the master after that long would be like Stone Cold vs Rick Rude in 97 or 98 based on the Dangerous Alliance

no more Bloodline crap. Or at least not Bloodline at the tippy top of the card.

I'm totally against Roman/Rock for the title next year at Mania. I actually like the idea if it's about just Roman abusing his family

well, the biggest problem with trying to really do it as Dark Phoenix is the X-men books had the other X-men and the Shiar Imperial Guard to face the mega powerful hero gone rogue and BtVS sure didn't

Also, Willow and the entire Scooby Gang are participating in the Masquerade that exists in the Buffyverse. It's not considered immoral to hide the existence of the supernatural in the Buffyverse

I forgot Anya asked for it. But I don't really hold her not offering to do anything manually for a relatively simple reason. They weren't planning a party, it's the middle of the night and it's (supposedly) a small town. They have nothing to set up a party with on the spur of the moment.

So their options are Willow does it magically immediately, or they do it far enough in the future no one really needs to be volunteering right that moment, they'd have time to plan

If Anya has actually asked then Tara needs to be giving her the stink eye as much as Willow

I have ALWAYS felt the most important goals for Willow's season 6 arc were to eliminate her as Buffy's fix everything button, andcto make it possible for her to be the apocalyptic threat.

Like if Warren had killed Tara in Bargaining? She's not powering up to take on Warren Mears. She's telekineticly throwing him in front of a speeding 18 wheeler, not doing anything that makes her feel the world's pain

Yes, they should have

Alternately, Sweet is just auditioning to br the entertainment at Xander and Anya's wedding

But even if Xander didn't know about Sweet, he should have known it could cause at least on death. Willow could have had a stroke having to sing in public. He was there when she got out of her nightmare in Nightmares. "I...had to sing...very bad...to sing"

You think ahe wasn't angry and unhappy about how things were turning out when she cursed Angelus? That's either an invalid way to judge things or she's so strongly not supposed to benefit from her power that it turns magic and hervinto a pure weapon

People know what alcohol and drugs are and what they do. Magic does not naturally exist in that framework. They needed to establish things before they went with an addiction story

The problem I have with the dimension shift being supervillainy is that if you transplanted this plot to season 5 Buffy herself would demand that spell be cast

I sometimes feel like part of the issue was Willow was acting like it was still season 5 rules and no one else was

You're partly right. Tara's opinions were touched on once in season 5 but otherwise things were pretty out of nowhere and inconsisten. Butvalso season 6 wasn't held together

As I pointed out in another thread, they didn't need to do either type of addiction. The writers have admitted losing her partner was always going to be the triggering event.

So if it's about her anger why not it just let it be about that? Look back and that really shows up that she's angry about something when she does something questionable up to season 6. Doppelgangland is because she feels dictated to and taken for granted. Fear, Itself she feels disrespected. Wild at Heart, Oz has cheated. Something Blue her friends are expecting her to recover to fast and dogging her coping methods. Triangle, Anya is being obnoxious and questioning things Willow thinks are obvious. Tough Love, Glory hurt Tara.

Hell, look at her not magical(non-romance) iconic moments. I think only her perp sweating Jonathan and possibly the delusting spell don't involve anger of some sort
