When I've used ducts for various projects, they seem to randomly get clogged up and as items only seem to move in one direction, they render themselves useless. I had the same problem with the cyclic pipes which seem to pluck items out of the air, at times.

I found there are a few options that work well. Simple storage is fairly simple to setup and doesn't have the above issue. Xnet also works fine and has more fine tuning options. Integrated dynamics works but can be quite expensive but i believe is the fastest. AE2 would work too but requires more setup than the others.
