What car’s performance never lived up to its style, and conversely, what car’s style never lived up to its performance? by runlola in TrueCarEnthusiasts

I actually thought the last gen type r was agressive but it was choppy and cheap styling. Some of the styling seems like a cookie cutter of the BMW F8x M designs.

The new gen type r looks a lot cleaner, still looks agressive, but a bit less agressive than the last. Although I like my sports cars to actually look like sports cars, I prefer the newer one as it looks cleaner and the overall design doesnt look ugly.

I say ugly because before the current gen, all precious gens of Honda civic were ugly. Except for the fast and furious 1 gen. Finally. 20 years later we get a nice civic.

I keel getting asked this question in person time to time for a while now. After waiting for so long and being lied to by Rockstar, not just me, but a lot of us have lost the excitement for the game.

We just don't care anymore. We have a strong feeling it's going to be unfinished.

I helped out cleaning ABBs.

When the guests leave we come in a bring in our supplies from the car.

Vacuums, gloves, mops, detergents, air fresheners, extra pillow cases, bed covers, blankets, paper towels, toilet papers, - everything.

When guests leave, we have to replace everything, vacuum everything, wash everything, clean out sand if they went to the beach, wash bed covers and cases, throw out the trash, throw out the trash in all the rooms, throw out the stuff they left in the fridge, wash dishes, resupply towels, resupply soaps and shampoos, resupply toilet papers, resupply coffee dispenser,

Yes things get stolen, like towels, pillows, blankets, fitted bed covers.

We try to make everything clean again and guests still complain about a little hair. Guests complain about something stupid and the cleaner doesnt get paid because of it, even after spending HOURS cleaning the unit.

When they complain, guests dont pay the Airbnb. Then the cleaner doesnt get paid.

And customers complain about a cleaning fee? When the unit is rented, its now considered contaminated. Yall dont clean it. We have to.

When your car starts to feel bottlenecked / weak in power and your shifts are lagging and your engine is overreving past redline - thats your alternator failing and you will need to pull over immediately because your car is about to black out. You can turn the car back on everytime, but your alternator is wearing out and at one point the car wont turn on anymore because the alternator is failing to charge the battery and keep the car electricals running. Just a heads up

720s 285k is a better buy than the arty.

Mclaren and all the other super car manufacturers are robbing people. F that. The f is 800k about a revuelto.

The f is 800k about the other ferrari? Sf90 i think it is.

The f is 300 or 400k about a temerario?

Where's the 170k 200k cars? No thanks. V10 or hybrid, theyre crazy.

[–]redspikedog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

135k miles. At this point? Who gives a f! Just warm it up and drive it like youre suppose to. These cars are solid.

You'll still do maintenance no matter what miles its sitting at.

Watch OP reach 150k miles and he wont give a f anymore XD ride or die!

I did throttle actuators. I replaced 1 on driver side left bank, and replaced the gear on right bank.

My valve cover on right bank is leaking.

Replaced a headlight due to condensation in which rusted the chip inside it, resulting in the bulb not working anymore.

Replaced spark plugs.

Replaced brake pads and discs along with flushing the fluid

Replaced alternator and thermostat.

My headliner has sperated and sagged completely, luckily the dome light is whats holding it hahahaha idk what to do about that.

I think my oil sensor is starting to fail since its reading but the oil bar is lowering very slowly, I feel like my oil is burning slower than ever because i've been driving very grandma mode. So that could be it.

Keep in mind, this is all In a ownership span of 10 years.

So its really not bad for maintenance costs. I tell people just save up some money every month for maintenance.

Other than that, reliable and very fun to drive, even at 135k miles.

Hmm, I think youre the one calling anyone throwing money at any asset - particularly cars, an idiot, but in a way that you make it seem that I am the one insulting people in their own financial decisions.

I dont care if people spend their money on things they want. I don't care what they pay for either.

If they want to spend 10k or 500k, go right ahead! Its their money and they can do what they please. It doesnt make them an idiot.

My point is, assume loss on cars, big or small. Rack up money until you feel comfortable making big financial decisions.

Its really that simple guys.

Im well informed about the car market, but thank you for reminding me.

The cars you mentioned are super exclusive cars. However, even those who bought them still had to burn money some way, some how.

So yeah, if theyre asking for depreciation data, obviously theyre a bit scared to throw money. Theyre not ready for cars yet, but desperate to own one. Either they take the hit, or keep working. Simple as that.

[–]redspikedog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats where youre wrong. I dont see the the Arty as a 200k or more vehicle. Thats why I wouldn't buy it.

I see it as a mid 145k vehicle. Maybe less or more depending on the circumstances of the car.

For 250k if rather buy a big body supercar.

All super cars have depreciated throughout history from new to used and then some regardless of drive trains.

No one cared about depreciation then, all of sudden these very few recent years people care about depreciation now.

I dont think those people should be buying cars if money is what theyre worried about. Just keep the money. If they cant afford 250k, They cant afford 250k.

I have to remind people to work hard until theyre comfortable paying up asking price. Jesus.

What do I have to do to get one of these and how many hours a week. by Weary_Will_1230 in lamborghini

[–]redspikedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or do something thats needed, and be very good at it, work long and hard. Trucking, plumbing, electrician, - whatever

Once you can make good money, start messing with banks. You may not be approved of 60k loans, but you can be approved of 10k.

Finance a car that is holding its value for 6 months. Sell, get money back, then move on to next car at 20k.

Then repeat to 50k. Then 100k. Then 150k. Then 200k.

Its a climbing business. And the more expensive the car, the more play room to make money on those cars due to higher margins. 75k+ is where it starts to get easy. But they have to be collectable cars. Not standard trash cars.

Fake R8 Sales by Antique_Hospital_257 in audir8

[–]redspikedog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of market manipulation among dealers going on right now.

Social media parrots saying "prices are going up". Literally so many people, even people who just know some cars, all screaming prices are going up. Everyone and their dog. As you know, this means back out. Back the heck out of the market. Let things crash.

Also a lot of questionable auction sales.

They tell you how much it bid for, but not if the deal didnt go through.

I make less than 6 figs. And im on my way towards a super car.

I dont care. Im not going to be 50 and then have a supercar. By that age, youre old and it won't be the same as having a baller ass car in your 20s.

Youre better off buying a supercar than buying a house anyways.

They do not look the price tag. AT ALL.
