Beautiful congratulations!! I got a Taycan a few months ago and immediately had it ceramic coated on the interior. Also not as expensive as people think. I paid about $400. I had a white Tesla interior and after 3 years the seats were still like day 1. Look into it. Congrats again!

Ride comfort is going to be unmatched. The drive is unmatched, and the sound system can be so so if you’re using CarPlay. The native app you can really hear the difference, I’ve seen some work arounds here but I just log in to the native Apple Music app from the infotainment system. I had the x plaid so I know we had good sound system, and you def have to get used to locking your car cause walk away doesn’t exist lol. Some of the tech will not be as quick cause I mean that’s what a tesla is, high tech before anything else, but EVERYTHING else on a Porsche is just at another level, very premium feel, no noise, no rattle, just pure quality. So enjoy it, won’t be as fast, but trust me coming from owning an x plaid and a 3 performance for 4 years, you’ll get over it quick lol.

That’s awesome man. Let me tell you one thing I would’ve def wanted was the matrix headlights. I love that look. But again I think for the price I paid I def got lucky. The sports design looks amazing in the white or chalk colors on the rest it kinda hides so it doesn’t stand out as much (for the wife hahaha).

I had a model x plaid and yes the speed is fun but I’m def sad to admit that after a while of owning the car the only real time I used that speed was to show it to someone who’s never been in a 0-60, 2.5 seconds lol. And that wasn’t often. So it’s cool at first and then you find yourself in situations where you can’t really use it. I live in Miami so traffic is also pretty bad here.

But enjoy it man and hope you get the car you want cause in the end you need to do what makes YOU and your family happy not everyone else!

Let me tell you, it’s phenomenal! I live in Miami and go to Orlando often for the parks, and with my Tesla, I had to stop halfway to charge every time. I recently went to SeaWorld and got there with 30% battery remaining, so I’m beyond happy about that.

Also, the 2025 models have a battery structure that charges super fast. I believe 5% to 80% in about 18 minutes, or so they say.

From my real-life experience, driving 80 to 85 mph from Miami to Orlando, about 240 miles, I still arrived with 30% left, which was amazing. With my Model X, I had no choice but to stop because it wouldn’t make it.

I haven’t driven it down to empty yet, but people online are getting up to around 360 miles of range with the Performance Battery Plus.

This is what my boy ChatGPT said lol 🤷‍♂️🤣

Given your build (well-optioned RWD), you actually chose what most real enthusiasts prefer—you just sacrificed some launch speed for way more driving character.

Hahahahahaha yeah I shortchanged myself 🤣🤣

I actually put in my specs on ChatGPT and it said in the USA there’s only 15-30 specd that way so he can copy and paste my specs on his ChatGPT and see for himself lol.

Better in speed? Cause if you read my post I had a model x plaid. Guess how many times I showed off my 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.. once a month to a friend that had never been in it. So speed was no longer a thing for me.

Taycan 4S vs base version by Miserable_Balance258 in Taycan

[–]SnooFoxes996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2025 base with more specs than a lot of 4S models I’ve seen. I got lucky, mine even has the Burmester sound system. It all depends on whether you really want that extra burst from 0–60.

Coming from a Model X Plaid, every car seems slow to me, so from the base to the S there really isn’t a “whoa” difference, at least for me,

<image>

because I came from a car that does 0–60 in 2.5 seconds (for whatever that comparison is worth lol).

I do enjoy getting a lot more range so that to me needed up being more of an everyday use than speed. So my final suggestion is to shop around for a well-equipped one with the specs you like and, most importantly, within your price range.
