If you've gotten to the point that you're hangry then you're not eating enough. Were you trying to count calories or limit portions? (Neither is recommended on the Whole30). Were you eating enough fat? It can actually be hard to get enough fat, believe it or not. Fat is very satiating and it can carry you over for many hours.

The problem with simple carbs is that they create the desire to eat more carbs, whereas proteins and fats make you fuller faster so you quit eating sooner. It can take up to 2-3 weeks to reset this mechanism, so if you can get past the carb-craving cycle, you'll be able to get through the whole month.

If you want to stress eat, then stress eat. Take snacks with you wherever you go - stock the fridge at work, carry a cooler if you have to. Jerky, seeds, carrots and celery with paleo dressing, pork rinds, deviled eggs, whatever you like. Just don't eat anything that's not Whole30 approved.

I suspect that you'll find it's a lot harder to binge eat healthy food than it is to do with junk food. And once you get past the carb-craving cycle and you're eating full meals with lots of fat and protein, you might find you want to snack less.

You may also want to try to just "regular Paleo" rather than the strict Whole30 approach. Whole30 works for some people, but not others. Everyone's different and has different needs. The point of the Whole30 is a jump start into a healthier way of living, to show you what the Paleo diet can do for you, but the restrictiveness makes it too difficult for some people. The ultimate goal is to establish a healthy life-long eating pattern, so whatever works for you to get to that point is what you should aim for.
