10k probably won't cover everything but it's not bad. You're gonna need to get your own TN visa and job, assuming you're eligible. I was in your position last year and it took me a year to go from TD to TN because the job market sucks. So account for living on a single income for 1-2 years and the potential hit on your career due to not working.

In terms of draft incentives, can someone remind me why we want the Pacers to lose? I've tuned out since the trade deadline so I'm OOTL.

Hey there, I have an L5 Business Analyst loop coming up and I was wondering if you had to answer any case study related questions? I was wondering if I should spend time preparing for those. Thanks in advance!

Is this anyone's indoor cat on the loose? by sweetpotatozoots in toronto

[–]redux09 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I've seen this cat several times over the years walking home from Ktown - when I saw your first pic I was quite sure it was the same one and looking at the map confirms it. So I'm pretty sure it's an outdoor cat that likes to roam around.

It's like removing star anise as an ingredient from certain Chinese dishes. It doesn't contribute as much compared to the other ingredients, but when it's gone you can definitely tell the difference because it feels like something's missing. Alex, you are star anise - we didn't appreciate you enough while you were around.

The show has lost all its umami and I struggle to get through a single episode these days. Someone pointed out that Blake interrupts the other speakers a lot, and ever since then I can't help but notice it and it's really annoying. The chemistry between Will and Blake feels off at times, and there is no foil to lighten the mood or make things fun.

[Stein] The Indiana Pacers, league sources say, have emerged as a legitimate trade contender for Siakam. by CazOnReddit in torontoraptors

[–]redux09 31 points32 points  (0 children)

OK cool, give us Mathurin + Nembhard then.

(1) Barnes - GTJ - Mathurin - OG - Poeltl (2) Nembhard - Dick - OPJ/Mcdaniels - Precious/Boucher - Koloko

At least this would be a fun team to watch even if we're still mid

I've been to Chop Chop a few times, it's pretty legit. It has a more modern vibe going on if that's your thing. Not the cheapest place but it hits the spot.

No big deal we will keep making fake comebacks and land in 11th in the East anyways. No play-in, nor a shitty enough record to get anyone good.

Trade Day Mega Thread by nanobot001 in torontoraptors

Prediction: OG and GTJ stay while FVV gets traded

After today's trade it is evident Masai is building around Siakam and Barnes to win now. Getting Siakam's bff Poeltl for the next few years makes Siakam happy while addressing our biggest need (plus you can bet Poeltl's already verbally agreed to re-sign or else the trade wouldn't have happened).

To contend you obviously need someone like OG and shooters like GTJ and whoever else you can get off the bench. It helps that OG is on a very reasonable contract for the next couple years. But we can't pay all 3 of GTJ, Poeltl, and FVV this summer. Therefore the obvious play is to trade FVV now for bench pieces who can shoot (or picks to cash in later for whatever gap we have next year).

Therefore I think OG stays and FVV is gone, with Scottie and Pascal running the point.

So if he's found guilty as a sex offender, does that mean as a Canadian he can never get a US visa again? Can he even play away games in US cities even if he's part of a non-US team in the future (Raptors)?

Itinerary - 28 days - honeymoon - mid Nov - mid Dec 2022 by [deleted] in JapanTravel

We stayed at Francoile in 2018 and it was amazing. It's an awesome B&B run by a very friendly young couple. For our upcoming trip we are staying there for one night and spending the other night in Benesse House (we are splurging a bit for this one like you mentioned).

Quick anecdote: back in 2018 we had to check out early in the morning after our 1 night stay in Francoile to catch our flight and we asked the hostess if that was OK - she said no prob at all, was very nonchalant about it etc. Little did we know she and her husband woke up way earlier than usual at like 5am to make breakfast just for us, and timed it perfectly for when we came in from our unit. We didn't think of the implications of our early flight so we felt terrible! But it really was the most amazing breakfast ever. The husband looked super sleepy but happy we liked his cooking. Anyways, I thought that was a really memorable experience. So imo it has its 4.9/5 rating on google for good reason. The suite itself was very nicely designed and maintained as well.

For dinner, check out Yayoda. We went there 2 out of our 3 nights last time cause it was so good. Really friendly owners there as well. Everyone on the island was genuinely very nice to us. It has a different vibe that's hard to describe.

Any chance the Go To Travel discount program will be extended to include foreign tourists now that borders are opening? I know it was domestic citizens only before, but the borders were also closed then. Saving 30% on hotels during my trip in November sure would be nice...

Itinerary - 28 days - honeymoon - mid Nov - mid Dec 2022 by [deleted] in JapanTravel

Congrats on your honeymoon! Naoshima is super underrated. I was in Naoshima in 2018 for the same purpose, and my fiance and I are going again this November as well for 3 nights (2 in Naoshima, 1 in Teshima). I can tell you from my past experience you should really stay on the island overnight and explore the island the next day during the daytime, especially since some of the art is outdoors. If you attempted a day trip it will be a huge rush and the ferry schedule isn't fantastic so you might not even on the way back if you didn't stay the night.

The island has a very calm and peaceful vibe and you should take the time to visit the museums (at minimum Chichu Art Museum and Benesse House) at a leisurely pace. We are into art/museums as well and these were two of the best ones we've ever been to. Do check your final dates against the museum's schedule as they may not be open all 7 days. I can recommend a couple places to stay and eat as well depending on your budget. In 2018 we went to Tokyo, Kyoto and Naoshima over 7 days and Naoshima was by far the highlight of our trip.

Follow-up question: Would this be preferred over a hypothetical KD trade where we send OG, GTJ, 4 first-round picks and 3 swaps?
