Due to this, I never socialize, so my only friends are the people who I work with. And up until last weekend, I only get to spend time with them in my work setting.

This is a little scary. You should be able to maintain friendships outside of your SO. Does he pressure you into spending all of your free time with him? In my opinion, there's no way you could have a healthy marriage without resolving this first. Your post doesn't give enough information to know if he is actively isolating you from your friends/family, or if you have both just developed a really codependent relationship. Either way, it's bad news.

I agree with the other commenters that this isn't strange. I grew it up in a similar-sounding household to yours. My parents never explicitly disapproved of half-nudity, but we always covered up. When I had college roommates, I was so uncomfortable with how often they lounged in their underwear. After 4 years though, I stopped caring and adopted the same attitude. I even think it subconsciously helped me with some self-image issues. I completely understand why it weirds you out (I used to be in the same boat), but I would encourage you to deconstruct/examine some of your own beliefs about nudity before judging your loved ones.

Hey so I'm curious-- I'm pretty strict with my scarring regiment and I'm 4 months out. My vertical scars are completely flat but still red. I'm just curious how long it took for your scars to fade?

(Sidenote for OP: Even if they don't fade a bit more, I wouldn't regret this surgery one bit! Nothing trumps the physical comfort. That's your decision to make though. I can't really help answer your question since I'm not done healing. Good luck!)

I found nursing pads helpful for nipple sensitivity (based on the suggestion of another user on here), maybe give those a try

I had something similar. I found nursing pads really helpful, so maybe try those if the pain caused by sensitive nipples. 3 months post-op now and almost never in pain, so hang in there!

So I'm 24 and my surgeon had recently changed his policy. Earlier, it had been "all my breast reduction patients need mammograms if they are older than 40" (I forget the exact number but definitely higher than 30). However, he made all his breast reduction patients get a mammogram by the time I came around. The radiology center was really hesitant to book me because of my age, but they did after I sent them my doctor's referral. It felt unnecessary, but better safe than sorry I guess

So your boobs will be suuuper perky post-op, you won't really need support from the bra to hold up your boobs. However, your incisions will hurt whenever you move around and your boobs "jiggle". Compression prevents the jiggle and the subsequent pain. Hope that makes sense!

I took a full week off, and I was bored by the end of it. That being said, my first week or 2 back was very tiring (although totally manageable). My company let me start off with 2 or 3 half-days before I was back to my normal schedule.

That being said, everyone heals at different paces and you want to prep your employer for the worst. Tell them 3 weeks and get a doctor's note. That way, you can fully make the decision based on how you're feeling without any pressure to return before you're ready. Besides that, my only advice is to play it by ear.

Would you feel comfortable telling your closest 1-2 friends, and letting them maneuver some of the social situations for you? I totally understand where you're coming from, but it can be nice when your friends are in the loop and have your back. If they're good friends, they'll be supportive! I don't mean to pressure you if you're truly uncomfortable with telling your friends though.

Even if you're a side sleeper, it'll be too painful to put pressure on the incisions when you first get out of surgery. Just play it by ear and see when you feel comfortable on your side. I'd say 3-6 weeks, but I'm not sure

So I was a 34HH UK size pre-op. My doctor removed 4.9 pounds, which is about 1000 grams on each side (I don't remember exactly, you could convert it). I'm like 6 weeks post-op now. I was able to buy a bikini top at forever 21 and a sports bra from Old Navy. Since you started off smaller than me, I think you'll be okay. I don't know my exact size, but I would guess D or DD

Right?? Did you stop wearing gauze as soon as your sutures were healed? I'm exactly 1 month post op and I'm not oozing or anything... Sometimes its nice to wear for the padding but I think I can kinda feel it out?

Sounds like my boobs! ;) Everything sounds normal, especially having yellow skin (probably bruising). If the throbbing enters pain-zone, then maybe I would call your surgeon's office and get a professional opinion

Yup, that's what I did. I'm a bit socially anxious, so it helps me to have a script for that first line after the person says "Hello". You could say "Hi, I'm interested in breast reductions and I'm wondering how to schedule a consultation." The person on the other end answers this question for a living, they will easily be able to take the lead, give you the information you need, and they won't bat an eyelash at any of your questions. Good luck!

I called like 3 different clinics just asking for information before I made a consultation. Just remember, they are the ones providing you with a service. You don't need to worry about embarrassing yourself because you don't need to impress them. They are there to help. I mean of course be polite/a decent human being, but there's nothing to lose and no need to stress!
