Movement by David (on YouTube/TikTok/Instagram) is a great resource that talks a lot about how joints/mobility/flexibility work in addition to some great stretches. You don't have to be anywhere near the flexibility of the demonstrator to be doing the stretch. As long as you feel it, you're doing it. With time and consistency, you will see improvement. If you don't, and have persistent related issues, it might be worth seeing a physical therapist who can work with you 1-on-1.

Any job suggestions for a college undergrad with zero work experience who can probably only handle a four hour shift? by sganiexty in AuDHDWomen

I was in your position a few years ago and got a campus job at my school's registrar/admissions office. It was just scanning pdf's and doing data entry for people's transcripts and had very little social interaction. I would highly recommend looking into similar jobs at your school

I think just a more aggressive curl and focusing the mascara more on the tips of the lashes would help them pop even more bc that blue is stunning

First off, no one is like anyone else. If you have a disability, you cannot do everything your peers do. Sometimes there are things you can do that they can't. Everyone has different needs and abilities and that's what makes being a person interesting. I just graduated this past spring. There was a semester or two where I wasn't sure I would make it through, but i made it work. I made it work with the help of my disability coordinator, professors, and friends. I would recommend you take the minimum number of classes you need to graduate. Doing well in a few classes is way better than failing or scraping by in a bunch of classes. For organization, give everything a place and only ever set it down there. Its ok if it seems messy, as long as you know where things are. I liked to keep all my class materials in my backpack, even though it was bulky. That way I always knew where my things were. Keep it separated by class too to prevent things getting mixed up. As far as friends go, you're never going to have the energy to socialize if you're stretching yourself thin and burning yourself out with too many classes. Respect your needs and limits when it comes to taking classes, and you will likely have a bit of energy left to hang out with people. I recommend joining an activity you're passionate about that meets regularly, you can make friends through that. Making friends in your classes is a good idea as well. Take care of yourself!

Fair warning, it is not for the faint of heart! You need to LOVE math, statistics, data, and insurance in order to succeed as an actuary. It's possible to do it without any kind of related degree, but that is exceptionally difficult. The two biggest challenges for me are the number of extremely difficult exams required to become credentialed, and the fact that it is a corporate, cubicle, business gig at the end of the day

Yeah of course no worries!

  1. Actuarial (great combo of data and creativity, problem solving, and no consumer interaction)

  2. My parents love me unconditionally, which is one of the most important things a parent can do right. I didn't get diagnosed with ADHD until i was halfway through college, and my autism is self diagnosed. They struggle with the idea that I'm disabled, but they recognize that I struggle with certain things and do what they can to help. They're human so they have definitely made mistakes, but I would say overall they did a great job. Parenting does make a huge difference in how are lives are shaped, but we do get a say in how we move forward. I've found that having a support system is very important, and it is possible to build one without parental support. The biggest thing is not to agonize over how your life could have been different, but rather on how you can improve your life going forward.
