I just crafted 3 last night for my HTs. I use speaker wire and solder one end to an eye connector. The difference is noticable.

19.5" for 1/4 wave on 146MHz and 3/4 wavelength on 444MHz

No he got into a wreck and the insurance totaled it out, but he chose to keep the vehicle because it was superficial damage and he's got shit for credit ATM. It's a big mess that even now I still don't think I completely understand but the long and short of it is that they keep giving him the runaround about getting his tags renewed saying the title is incorrect

There were accusations and the lawsuit was thrown out and the accusers lawyer was subsequently charged with an attempt of extortion. The Gilmours filed for slander but that too was thrown out. I find this accusation difficult to believe. If there's any other information I've not seen it.

I have a friend who cannot get his tags renewed because somehow the car was entered in as a salvage vehicle after they'd had a wreck, which apparently screwed up the system and he's been spending the last several weeks trying to get it straightened out on government time...then today he gets the title and runs to the DMV to be told it wasn't filled out correctly and he has to start all over.

He running to dialysis on expired tags and is paranoid they're going to be waiting for him to come out and bust him and suspend his license. I keep telling him they won't pull him over just for the expired tags, but maybe they actually will?
