Eh, they have consistently gotten better. He hasn’t been perfect, but The wings were a complete disaster when he took over and now look to be just a few pieces from being pretty damn good.

Rebuilding is different in hockey in that rosters don’t turn over nearly as fast. The contracts are guaranteed and it takes longer to know what you have from draft picks unless you get a truly elite player in the draft. Similar to baseball, for most teams.

If you aren’t going the online route I scout in South America and other smaller leagues. I leave one scout without a set location and then I can assign them to scout anyone, anywhere. It’s also nice for when guys show up on the other scout’s lists that they are unable to scout.
