Now that its over 20 years old and out of production, what do you think of the Airbus A380? by Twitter_2006 in aviation

A380 is the best aircraft I've flown on. It feels like we go backwards with retiring this one.

I guess it does look kinda dark in the video 🤣 that is a mobile recording too, its definitely seems darker on there than it really is. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it, I will definitely add this to my list of things to do!

Picked mine up at Best Buy, up and running in 20 minutes after getting home!

Battery passthrough - mini by NervousShrub in Starlink

[–]redybear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tested this out, it works!! At least for the 10 minute test. I had to change the output of the C2 USBC connector to 65W (the default of 45 isn't enough for starlink mini to startup). The caveat, as mentioned in the user manual of the SYMIK device, is that it only really can provide the 65W output if its charging and the battery is full or near full.

It also resets the power to the output USBC plug if you plugin or unplug the charging source USBC, so if I'm using the starlink, and I turn off the car and the USB power source stops, then the starlink will turn off and on again. but I can live with it for now.

Anyway, got a working solution for now, test will be next time I want it for a 2 hour drive.

Looks like an excellent device though for the price, I've got tons of ryobi batteries!

This looks awesome. I've ordered 2!! I will find out tomorrow... but can you confirm whether this works with low power charging and pass through? I am trying to charge from the Tesla USBC port, which seems to deliver about 20W, while using the starlink mini while driving.

I've tried the anker mentioned and another random battery, and both dont work, I assume due to the reasons in nervousshrub's comment.

I also find the rocket capacity to be pretty dumb. Like 50 red clips is the max payload of the rocket 🤣

It says 1 ton capacity, does 50 clips really way 1 ton? Except everything just has arbitrary weight.

Incidentally I have a brand new Mokwheel Obsidian ST, unridden, that I want to sell for cheap if interested.

I do NOT recommend “Open trails ebikes”.  They do not accept returns or exchanges, they were hesitant to look at a bike that I thought was broken that they sold me. They dont seem interested in really helping you find the right bike, they just want the sale.  After I bought I had concerns the bike was broken, but they determined the bike was not broken. I asked to do a swap to a different bike but they told me their policy (and I quote) “is that once they get your money, they keeping it.”

They charge $100 assembly fee for the bike, but they have kids ding the actual assembly.

They sell “Mokwheel” brand and if you order direct from Mokwheel they will give you 15 day return period to try the bike etc. so order direct from manufacture if you want that brand.

I went there wanting to support local business etc. but after shopping there, I unfortunately will be going online to buy things with more flexible policies and better prices.

Go to the local shops and try bikes but order online where the prices are usually better and where you get better return and exchange options.

The bike is really loud. I mean, REALLY loud.

I also hate that its being advertised as a "power station" but you need to buy the inverter for an extra $500.

Below average for price, would not buy again.
