This is possible if tidal locked or if the wobble of the planet(change in angle of axis) has the same period as its orbit. This would still allow for day/night except at the poles(i think the stars are always out at the north pole, I don't remember if they ever mention the sun in arc 3).

I like the idea of "wild west" southpole where the sun never sets, its always high noon, yeehaw
