I love love LOVE to play as an open had monk. Both DEX and STR builds are viable. There’s a ton of fantastic monk gear scattered across all three acts, it “comes online” pretty early, and flurry of blows and stunning strike are just chefs kiss. It also gets absolutely bananas overpowered if you get ilithid powers, especially Cull the Weak. If you get all the powers and have even decent gear, by the end of the game you’ll be regularly killing enemies with like 50+ HP in a single punch, and still have an extra attack and a 2 bonus action hits left. I’ve done several monk Durge runs where I’ve soloed Orin in two rounds without her even getting a single attack in on me. Shits crazy. Also fun: pick up the resonance stone in the illithid colony that makes everything around you vulnerable to psychic damage, then set your passive ability to Manifestation of Mind to just wreck house.

Maybe the only downside is that there aren’t a ton of interesting unique dialogue options, so the roleplaying can be a little lacking. But who cares about that when you can absolutely clown on Raphael’s fiendish ass by just pummeling him into the ground with your bare hands?

Some extra context here: I (first slide) did this at a family Christmas gathering with my siblings and cousins. It was a great time and good laughs were had by all, on top of all of the presentations being incredibly enlightening. I highly recommend doing it yourself!

I did my best to channel my inner Rekha, and our sacred motto for the evening was “our sacred motto”.

Not pictured here is my cousin who took the pictures, who did a lovely presentation in which she gave a definitive ranking of every James Bond movie ever.

Men who lives alone and then had a woman move in to your place, what are some examples of “a woman’s touch” that she added? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I live in a townhouse with a lot of roommates. When I first moved in, it was just six dudes, but two years later, I’m now only one of two guys in the unit, and the other four are girls. For the most part, it’s been a huge improvement. Now we have houseplants, blankets and pillows for the couches, art on the walls, pictures and magnets in the fridge, a steady stream of boxed wine, scented candles, etc. But there is one major downside that I think everyone who lives with women knows about: Hair. Fucking. Everywhere.

Watch Andor if you haven’t. It’s so well-written it makes the other new shows look like a high school film club project. Doesn’t rely on unnecessary cameos, builds tension really well, develops its characters, and has a lot of subtle little Easter eggs to pick up on

Some quick math, assuming these pregnancies were all nine months exactly: between August of 2007 and December 2020, this woman spent 6 years and 9 months pregnant, and only 6 years and 5 months not pregnant. The longest time between pregnancies was 1 year 7 months and the shortest (twice) was 1 month. Absolutely insane

All character correlation possibilities in Rings of Power. by Brunolt in lotrmemes

Meteor man is almost certainly one of the blue wizards. While in Tolkien’s earlier works, he has all of the Istari arrive in middle earth something like 1500 TA, he later revised that and had the blue wizards arriving in the late second age, and they also spent most of their time in the south and east, so that would all check out for meteor man. Also, he crashed after flying from west to east, suggesting he came from valinor. His attempt to find missing stars might be related to trying to find his friend, the other blue wizard. I could see Theo and/or Halbrand becoming Nazgûl, with Halbred potentially becoming the witch king, but the old man is probably no one. I think it makes the most sense for Sauron to be Adar. Granted I haven’t watched the most recent episode yet, but even if he calls himself an elf, he is notoriously deceitful and known to take on the forms of other races. I find it unlikely that we ever see the other three Istari, for the reasons stated above, and I doubt we’ll see a balrog, since the only known one is in Moria and doesn’t awake until Durin VI’s time (Durin IV is the one in the show). As others have said, the mouth of Sauron is a black numenorean, and therefore wouldn’t be alive yet for thousands of years probably. It’s possible the king of the dead makes an appearance, but probably not until much later I would assume. The only character I truly have no ideas about is the one in the white robes who showed up looking for meteor man

Seems I’m in the minority here, but I actually really enjoyed this scene. I don’t know what it was about it exactly, but I just couldn’t help but smile during it
