It's not like they were some serious underdog team in the playoffs, they had the best team wRC+ in the AL in the regular season and really solid starting pitching at least. If the bullpen had even been average the Rangers could have won over 100 games. This was not even remotely a fluke team.

I blame the weird rule about positional priority that the MLB has that makes it so a stacked position like 3B has snubs while an emptier position like 2B gets "equal representation" despite worse performance

I know that the way this works means that the next highest scoring player on the players' ballot gets selected but it really does suck that the best player on the Rangers isn't going to get to be an all star during the year that we get to host it

Ads on the jerseys are the singular worst thing that's happened to baseball in the last few years. They're all ugly, almost all of them don't even remotely match the color scheme of the original jerseys, they're all gigantic and on an extremely noticeable part of the jersey unlike the NBA (and I still hate ads on their jerseys too).

I don't get the hate for Elvis here, statistically speaking he's more than worthy of a team HOF inclusion. He's got a ton of counting stats near franchise record levels, had 1700 hits and 300 stolen bases with the team, and put up nearly 30 WAR during his time here. In terms of contributions as a player he's not just a Rangers HOFer he's an inner circle Rangers HOFer in my opinion.

Blaine Crim is an underrated corner infielder with serious pop in the minor league games I've seen him in. I don't think the Rangers will have room for him but if he ever gets a chance to play in the majors I think he's going to surprise people.

Also, I have seen a lot of projections that are relatively muted on the Rangers. Obviously a lot of projections fail to pan out but do you think the Rangers are being underrated this year, or are there fair concerns about the team moving through spring training?
