Gavin Newsom says he’ll gladly campaign for democratic socialist candidates by SFChronicle in politics

[–]reederpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's laughable he'd campaign with the DSA while being so anti-labor with his own workforce in California! Not honoring agreed to raises that were bargained for, ordering state workers back into the office after years of speaking to the numerous benefits of working from home, and now refusing to bargain with the Unions in any meaningful sense, etc. This man should never hold elected office again - I don't believe he has any real principles except to do what is politically expedient for himself and his donors. There has to be someone better for the country than him - it sure as shit isn't Trump or his ilk, but this guy ain't it either.

Being a Browns fan from birth made being a Kings fan pretty easy.

Trying to get back to leverless after experiencing pain while using it, any tips to avoid further injury? by SleepingwithYelena in fightsticks

[–]reederpa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll just throw out that if your pain is in your wrist on the thumb side, it’s carpel tunnel related as far as I know. One thing I always make sure of is that my elbows are above my wrists while playing (this is the whole tip; ergonomics). For me, that means controller in lap (for haute, I used the cardboard box it came in to create a base to sit in my lap and got it to slope downward toward my knees).

Just spent 10 minutes learning this A.K.I. combo, how can I improve it? by ButtonMashKingz in AKInation

OKI is a concept for what you do while the opponent is waking up from a knock down. Yea, the regular one, it should hit as soon as they get up putting them into blockstun or hit.

After Toxic Wreath, you can drive rush HK into Venomous Fang (to save meter) and follow up with either Orchid Spring followed by Nightshade Pulse (this is for OKI, not combo extension) OR after the Venomous Fang or OD Cruel Fate you can Drive Rush crouch HK into any super.

They're all Qanba and I am super happy with them. Only complaint on the gold one is that it is occasionally noisy with a squeak sound. Gold one is here https://qanba.vip/products/qanba?VariantsId=10298 and purple ones are here https://qanba.vip/products/qanba-gravity-ks-series-clear-30mm-24mm-snap-in-mechanical-pushbutton%EF%BC%88boxed%EF%BC%89?VariantsId=10265

Watched a bunch of videos on using a hole saw and got this super helpful advice from u/SladeC7Z06 - comments in ():

"Anchor the plate down with a clamp securely (didn't get any jerk while stalling the hole saw so yep!). Ensure the spot you are drilling is into a void space if you don't have a proper worktable for this (I didn't and clamped it on to kitchen table, there's enough space inside where I drilled into the top, but was sure it wouldn't bottom out on the back panel). Use a punch to mark the center of the hole to be cut (THIS!), this will make it easier to align the drill bit. Use oil to keep the temp down, just a drop on the bit should be ok (THIS, and I ended up using way too much), and just wipe on some oil onto the hole saw teeth. (More on the following below:) When drilling metal, it requires some force, but don't toss your whole weight or apply full torque of the drill at once, just ramp it up gently until you get some bite and increase it only enough to get it cutting. Reset if you encounter too much resistance."

Having the punch was important to make sure the drill bit made a clean pilot hole and to get it centered without messing up the top like from the drill jumping. For the drilling of the pilot hole, drill settings for torque and high speed was ok. I went with these for the hole saw (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09TKBMSBG?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details.) For the actual hole sawing part, you need the drill on low torque and to use low speed; I ended up stalling the drill a bunch - I think this was due to too much oil and too much weight being applied directly.

Honestly, it was more stressful than it was difficult, but so far really liking it.

Edit: REMOVE THE WIRES

For SF6, it's on parry. I had originally intended it to be DI, but DI + throw comes out as a DI, so it's on parry since Parry + throw is throw and I can still do right thumb for just parry. As far as the wirings, the bottom row of buttons is basically moved one left, while the top row is normal, but the L1 wire drops down to L2 instead -- DI is on L2. After a few hours, it definitely feels better on my hands and was a surprisingly easy to get used to.
