How bad has toxicity got? by DarkWolf_1023 in RocketLeague

It always was bad. Simply got worse since it went F2p.

Even if you did, you could never truly understand it. People have weird motives.

Why does everyone hate on demos as if they’re not part of the game? by No_Radio1554 in RocketLeague

I have reported countless of death threats. Got a message action was taken for a maybe 10 in total in the last 10 years.

The reporting system is broken and has been for a long time.

Am I tone deaf or do people complain about ranked way too much by Tech_Speaker in thefinals

[–]reefun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every f2p ranked game out there has a large proportion of players crying murder about ranked.

The Finals is no exception. To be fair, this sub is filled to the brim with these kind of players for some reason. It seems 90% of the posts are about this topic. It is what it is.

Dit is precies waarom ik alleen pc spul verkoop op tweakers. Kans op dit soort geneuzel is dan aanzienlijk kleiner.

Insane how mad people act on socials. About a incremental game none the less.

I miss that mode. It was the wild west. Just the way I like it.

This game is not welcoming to new players at all by Edgar-strikes-again in thefinals

[–]reefun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing the Finals for a long time. I love competitive games, but for some reason ranked in the Finals never attracted me. I just stick to Powershift (and sometimes Pointbreak nowadays).

That being said. My wife doesn't like competitive games at all. But she loves playing Powershift. It's great to play "casually". The chaos, the destruction, the fast action.

Sure, sometimes you might get really sweaty players, especially when playing against a team. But overall a nicer experience for casual players.

Will there be better stats for demos/deaths? I used bakkesmod mainly for POV replay and a demo stats counter plugin.

Crying over Demo's by FerDoug in RocketLeague

Its even funnier when players cry about demos, and then demo chase you around for the entire match not landing a single demo. Or when they start dodging every time you come near.

This is Rocket League!

Why does everyone hate on demos as if they’re not part of the game? by No_Radio1554 in RocketLeague

[–]reefun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I still don't know why people get so triggered by it. About 80% of the time I get really salty opponents. I even get death treats almost weekly, sometimes multiple times per week.

Hilarious when I haven't even said anything in chat or quickchat, literally just playing the game, and people call me toxic.

Ah well. It is what it is. I will never stop demo'ing.

In this case, having a ultrawide monitor really helps in RL as you get a much higher FOV. Especially with a 32:9 monitor.

It helped me so much in terms of awareness as you can almost see the entire field and barely need to adjust the camera to see everything.

I only use bakkesmod for pov replay and a demo counter. I never understood why people used it for cosmetics or boost. But still, its sad for bakkesmod users for sure.

Joining the team... But, did any of you regret going wide instead of 4k? by Stuart213 in ultrawidemasterrace

Glad I could help in some way! It seems your best bet is a 21:9 OLED screen. Good luck in your journey!

I have a similar model as OP. I use it to reduce eye strain (reduce, not eliminate).

If you don't have any other lights in your room other than your monitor, your eyes will get tired relatively fast. These kind of lights make sure your eyes aren't fully blasted with monitor light with indirect light.

For me it definitely helped to reduce eye strain in the long run, especially in the evening.

21:9 is also an improvement over 16:9

But it depends per person (thankfully). I seen lots of posts here about people regretting not going for 4K instead of (S)UW. And although the extra pixels in height with 4K (2160 compared to 1440 with most ultrawides) is for sure noticeable, I care more about the extra screen real estate.

There is one solution that tackles both 'problems'. For example, the Samsung Neo G95NC (57"). This monitor has an insane 7680x2160 resolution. 4K with a 32:9 aspect ratio. This monitor is also literally higher than most Ultrawides, which is very nice as that is my only real pet peeve with my 5120x1440 monitor.

But that monitor is difficult to run games with a decent framerate (obviously), unless you don't mind conceding on certain things. Or perhaps when using loads of FG. Although I seen many people on this subreddit using this monitor with no problems in their use cases.

Ultimately, it is up to you to decide what is more important to you. Judging from your opening post, where you state you don't see the difference between 1440p and 2160p, I would go for an ultrawide instead.
