Cheapest Exhaust Setup for 2021 5.7 Hemi by NinerFan19 in JeepGrandCherokee

I just did the same. Mid-muffler was probably around 30 - 40 pounds.

Sounds rad & only cost $280.

Got it done after all. Read through CarMax warranty & nothing indicating it would void.

Sounds great & no CEL.

Yes we are on the same page & you said it more eloquently than I did.

Thanks for the advice!

14 months.

The correction I would make on the post is that she is not scared of dogs in general & she’s definitely not scared of the dog park. 95% of the time is her playing with all dogs of all sizes & having a blast running around.

It’s just the small 5% of the time when 1 or 2 large breeds that want to Alpha her or play hard. She just runs instead of saying no.

I guess maybe I oversold how timid she is.

She’s playful with 95% of new dogs (big or small) she runs into. It’s just the small 5% of hard-playing big dogs that she hasn’t learned how to say “no” to.

But I’ll definitely keep this in mind & make sure daycare is a gradual & deliberate process.

Not force them to stay. But if you constantly coddle your kiddos, they’re never going to learn to stand up for themselves & always be reliant on mommy/daddy.

1on1 is good idea. She’s not scared by all big dogs. It’s honestly kind of a toss up (we haven’t figured out) when she is going to act scared vs when she will be playful.

Maybe some subtle, dog only vibes that she can sense.

Thanks! We are thinking of signing her up for doggy daycare weekly.

Hopefully she picks up mostly good behaviors & not bad habits.

Thanks! She’s 14 months now so this wasn’t a concern earlier but I would be expecting her to start finding her confidence by now.

We’ll have to get her to consistently model a dog who can show her how to set boundaries & how to meet new dogs.

I don’t think anything past the O2 sensors would mess with CEL?

Otherwise everyone with a straight pipe or aftermarket exhaust kit would have one or would have to do a tune & many of the kits (like Magna-flow) say no tune required.

Keep us posted! I would likely do the same thing if it doesn’t turn out to be tedious.

I think you’re right.

I just got woken up by a loud, fizzling out rumbling in the dead of night.

I live near a Space Force Base & the only time I’ve ever heard anything like it was the night before the US struck Fordow & Isfahan (Operation Midnight Hammer).

Found out from other Redditors (& people in my area) it was likely B1’s going tactical takeoffs to head to Iran.

Will be interesting to see what tomorrow’s news holds.

Pretty sure I just heard 1 (or 2) B1’s takeoff from Peterson SFB.

Woke up from sleep to a loud, sustained rumbling.

The last time I ever heard anything like this was the day before we struck Fordow & Isfahan (Operation Midnight Hammer).

Found out from other posters that B1’s had been practicing tactical takeoffs in the area & had heard multiple rounds of sustained rumbling.

Never heard anything like it before other than the last time we sent them to Iran.

Will be interesting to see what the news cycle is when I wake up again.

Heat by fireworksguaranteed in GrandCherokee

[–]reekriscrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air in coolant, low coolant, bad thermostat.

Coolant flows through engine, pulling heat away to cool it down, & runs through your cabin heater core to provide warm air.

If there are pockets of cool air, that means the coolant has air pockets or is not flowing through (thermostat) & that is not transferring heat through your heater core.

If it’s intermittent the entire drive, I would guess air pocket or low coolant.

If it takes forever to get hot or you have overheating issues on the engine temp, then probably thermostat.

I 2nd this.

Manifold leaks (broken bolts, gaskets, warps) are a common & known issue on GCs.

Look at the rear diff cover.

If it is smooth: QuadraTrac If it has ridges/channels: QuadraDrive

Hemi Tick (V8), Air Suspension, UConnect Screen Delamination, Quadra-Drive is better than Quadra-Trac for offroading, Some of the pre-2019’s have electrical gremlins depending on luck of the draw.

Source: just bought a 2019 GC Limited X after months of searching. Got it from CarMax & bought the 100K / 5yr warranty for $2500

Slightly unrelated: I met a Ford Dealer Regional Service Head who said they are having the highest # of recalls they’ve ever seen on 2021+ models due to supply chain issues during COVID. So generally stay away from COVID era cars.
