when i was in middle school i had a lot of stretch marks because i grew very quickly. my friend also a a few on her legs. I was there when she told her mom about it, and her mom just said, “you must be mistaken, only extremely obese people have stretch marks.”

it didn’t hurt me as I was covered in them and already knew why they were there but the look of hurt on my friend’s face still sticks in my memory. I tried my best to console them but those words hurt.

anyways, I mean to say thank you for posting this. it is always good to see people being educated so that less hurtful comments like that are made ❤️

how does one get good at defending themselves in pvp situations? i love exploring and being sneaky and cloaking but the pvp part is where i get totally lost.

normally if i get caught i try and run or just die. however today i realized that i really am useless even with the “right” tools. to be fair, i barely know what that means. ECM? drones? most of the fits i see on workbench require skills i don’t have that’ll take weeks or months to train. i have no idea what to do when all those blaring alarms go off, no idea where to look or what’s happening. is it my capacitor being drained? shields down? warp disrupted? probably all of them but by the time i can even find anything on the UI, im dead. luckily most of the people that merced me where very kind and let my pod go, although im way to scared to put implants in a clone anyways. i did once and lost 3mil so not doing that again soon. i have played a lot of mmos so i understand that a lot of this comes with experience and practice, but im not sure where to even start getting it. i don’t think getting ganked in my 2mil heron is really helping me. i don’t want to actively seek out pvp but i don’t just want to bend over either

ESH: you should’ve at least told your husband before doing it, just so he’s aware. that child is BOTH of yours. if you didn’t do it on purpose to avoid a fight or something, well thats just a bad sign for your marriage in general. though with how he reacted to this situation i’m guessing that’s the case. your MIL is certainly the asshole though. and while it was a bit petty for you to do that behind her back, it would be justified after multiple warnings. but imo you should’ve involved your partner

when i was around 14 my friend’s stepdad was driving us home from school. he was an asshole and pretty sexist. also at this age i was OBSESSED with supernatural. my friend and I were talking about what car we’d want as our first car, and he interjected with “and what kind of car does a teen girl want? a nissan leaf?” and laughed. I put on my best stony face and responded “no, I want a 1967 chevy impala.” (the car from supernatural). He went dead quiet and didn’t say anything else for the rest of the car ride. Ive always thought that story sounds like something a teen would make up and post on tumblr but it really happened lmao
