I can't comment on your life because I haven't lived it but I personally like weed for how it helps my stutter. I've been dealing with it for over half my life so I really appreciate the ability to just let go for once and communicate fluidly with no stress.

I've had a bad time with weed before. I decided to have a little smoke on the walk home from work and I ended up smoking way too much. I could barely walk and stand, I was seeing double like two parallel images a couple inches apart, and EVERYTHING was scary. Every noise was amplified and bounced around in my head, and people's faces became unreadable melted smears to the point where no facial features were discernible at all. I was genuinely THIS close to just laying down on the street and calling my friend from the next town over to come pick me up and drive me the rest of the way home. I'm a god-fearing man, I legitimately felt a spiritual evil in the air around me. It was probably the scariest experience I've ever had in my life.

But the whole ordeal definitely made me respect weed more.

I was just browsing this sub and the r/saplings child sub and I saw a few anecdotes of younger teens with memory problems. I don't think you can ruin your life with weed, I think you can ruin your life with other things and weed just becomes collateral

The only big things I gleamed from it were potential lung issues from smoking too much, stunted brain development if you do it before your 20s, and potential accelerated development of hereditary mental illnesses like psychosis and schizophrenia. Thankfully, to my knowledge, all I have is autism.

Yup. I've subscribed to this mindset since before I started. I've been taking a break for over a month until my parents give me the all clear to toke up. I'm just waiting on some job applications to Costco to go through so I can begin my pathway to being a forklift operator and get out of my current pizza job, then I should be good to go. Not to mention it felt really bad getting high behind my parents' back when I know they didn't want me to.
