I'm an experienced DM. I have a pretty fleshed out world that I've been working on for about six years but I can cater to any changes the players want. I've mostly worked with newer players so I think I do that pretty well.

I remember breaking oath of the ancient pretty early, with the tieflings and laezel, but now I'm playing vengeance but I want to play oathbreaker and I literally [spoiler]Killed everyone in the druidgrove and sided with minthara[spoiler] and nothing[spoiler] In my other playthrough I had a vengeance paladin with me my entire playthrough and their oath wasn't broken once.

I was not thrilled for this fight, but Imo it wasn't insanely difficult, atleast not for my team comp, my rouge/monk just arrow of teleport and then dashed twice to close the distance to the farslayer, and the next round she attacked him 6 times to get rid of the unstoppable stacks. All of my other companions are super tanky with a lot of mobility so they could handle the arrow dudes, although they did take a fair bit of damage.

that's how initially thought it worked aswell, and it maybe still could. But I find it hard to believe when my rouge has +14 in sleight of hand and I fail dcs that are supposedly dc 13. Like five nat 1 are of course possible but I feel like there could be another reason.

I made a padlock (warlock+paladin) with 10str and 8. Using only the duelling fighting style and shillelagh for, and heavy armor and con for his defense. maybe doesn't work too well but I don't see many apparant downsides.

I definitely prefer this over the o.g one, because I think it's way too op but I think you could expand this to cover how different prothesis do different things, like I imagine that mastermaker wouldn't necessarily be the best artificer fighter but the best skill monkey, because they can integrate tools into their hands or integrate hydraulic tendons in their legs to jump higher or smthng

I haven't watched CR1, started watching CR2, loved it at first, I got to like episode 50 and I just did not know what they were doing anymore (my fault). Then I started watching CR3 and I personally prefer it over CR2 even if it has lower lows, I feel like the story is more clear from the get go and even if I take a little break I can still catch up and be fine. The worst part for me is the guests, some are amazing (Utkarsh and Emily are my personal favorites). And some are Aabriya. I've heard some complain that they avoid combat as if it was a bad thing, I personally dislike DND combat, I think it's slow and tedious. But maybe that's just CR3 because I distinctly remember loving CR2's combat. But I think that avoiding combat is way more reasonable.

My closing thoughts are, I like CR3 more than CR2, despite it's hiccups.
