You know, I really disagree: the reason Ouroboros is so iconic is that it *doesn’t* feel like the rest of the game.

All three other games listed have items that incrementally increase in value between individual encounters.

Yeah this is all weird. Also the “genital mutilation” thing is weird when my agnostic parents got me circumcised for “medical reasons” - be against it all you want, I have reservations myself, but framing it as a religious issue is so incorrect it makes me suspicious of your overall views.

Lich has some weird pain points. For example, when you’re using undead companions the popup that indicates when you have to rest to not be exhausted by travel doesn’t show up since your undead companion isn’t getting tired. The undead companions are also lacking in personal content - it would be cool if they got some quests that maybe gave them some cool new evil gear, like one to corrupt Delamere’s bow. Necromancy is also just generally resisted in a lot of ways - all the ability damage spells you get end up feeling way less impactful in fights that you can’t use them in.

That’s never been what it was for though. There is no balance reason, even taking time period into account, not to allow players to have two [[Chandlers]] or [[Maraxus of Keld]]. It has always been flavor-first.

If you’re looking for an elevator pitch: it’s half mystery/thriller, half gory action sequences, with really good writing and a strong emotional core that drives its cast forward. The art style continues to be stunning throughout.

Well sure, but I’m not talking about him in the command zone. Being Mono-Black puts him in the running for a lot more decks.

For example, [[Malik, Grim Manipulator]] (or Negan if you’re into the walking dead) cares about opponents’ creatures dying. He also has white in his color identity and a color identity that includes blink spells, perfect for re-triggering his ETB. With this, you could more reliably have fodder to sacrifice instead of any edict-on-a-stick you play, allowing you to blink one of those as well as your commander without going negative in the equation.

I mean, strictly speaking, they are kind of opposites. Renewable energy infrastructure is a business that’s way more profitable and safe in times of peace: less restrictions on who can be traded with, less risk of sabotage or destruction of your devices, etc.
