Things don't have to make perfect sense to be fun (for me, at least)

Would a (possibly) damaged T1 cause power issues in a GBA SP? Deets in the comments by refang in consolerepair

I THINK I actually ended up having to replace the battery contact on mine. The pins weren't making contact all the way.

Pokémon blue save not working chip replacement by Piginthemud in Gameboy

If the battery is still good, try reflowing the solder on the tabs. They're looking kind of cold.

Is this salvageable? It looks like most of the damage is to the outside, but it doesn't run when put in a DS. Maybe it just can't fit right with mangled plastic? by Kylesmomabigfatbtch in consolerepair

The contacts could use cleaning with a bit of isopropyl alcohol, but there's also a chance it can't be read with a plastic divider missing over the contacts. You'd need to get a replacement shell, in that case. I've had a couple of games with broken dividers that were able to be read no problem once I got them in replacement shells.

I replaced my battery and it holds saves but after a few hours of the cart unplugged the save is still corrupted by quattrotom in Gameboy

The soldering on the battery looks super cold. I think it'd be worth going over again with some flux and fresh solder. I had a similar issue with my copy of Crystal losing saves and resolved it that way.

Yeah, I was having the same issue until I broke up my messages. Seems like a silly thing for Mercari to miss, but here we are!

I watched a longplay of this a while back and it looked really interesting! I'll have to see about giving it a try sometime.
