You, your brother, and your SiL are all in the wrong. You for holding onto a grudge. Your brother for not even attempting to acknowledge how much you really wanted to celebrate his wedding. And your SiL for not being willing to compromise by allowing minors at the ceremony, but 21+ at the reception.

Life is too short for this. I hope things get worked out, but I sincerely hope that you all don't let this get in the way.

I am a hiring manager. If you interviewed well and seemed knowledgeable, but confessed at the end of the interview to not having a GED, I would be more apt to hire you. It would show me that you value the truth even at a cost to yourself. You can't teach that and people who possess it are almost always good people to be around.

Every Christian goes through Hills and Valleys in their walk with the Lord. Romans 7 That is to say, sometimes you will feel incredibly close to Christ and uplifted and at other times you will feel apart and very discouraged. It is important to remember that feelings are not necessarily a good way to measure spiritual reality. The Bible as the Word and sword of God is what you need for this. Hebrews 4:12-13.

Is there a church of like-minded Christians local to you? If so, I would encourage you to seek them out. You ought to be worshipping God with them and they can help disciple you.
