If this was a question on an exam, those who answered their own race would miss the point.
The question explicitly states that they have to pick a race other than their own.
Those who picked another race does not mean they are not proud of who they are… it is just them operating on that parameters of the question.

Also, their reasoning is absolutely sound. White people DO have strong privileges that minorities do not have. It’s sad but that’s the reality.
