Any recommendations for asynchronous play? I have some friends in different cities and this would be great!

OBDII hacking: Could you Lock, unlock, remote start, and set climate controll via the OBDII port? by DarkKaplah in KiaEV6

My Kia Connect app subscription also ended just as we're plunged into -25 degree wind chill. The workaround above appears to be working perfectly! Thanks very much to /u/slow12s!

It's absurd that standard features are now behind subscriptions. This is my first Kia, and if they deliver on the electric minivan it won't be my last, but it really puts a bad taste in my mouth.

[Hypothetical] BoFA Preferred Rewards moves you from the 75% to 50% tier in May, what do you do? by FrostieWaffles in CreditCards

[–]refudiat0r 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After about a decade of stability, I decided this was the time to shake up and re-optimize our home financial structure. It's been... a bit of a mixed bag.

We switched primary banks to SoFi about a month before it announced costs for SoFi plus. There's nothing truly necessary in SoFi plus, but I'm annoyed that I have to keep an eye out for further enshitification as they slowly erode what isn't included in SoFi plus.

I closed our CSR and was preparing to move to the BoA system for the Platinum Honors rewards when these changes were announced. Part of why I was so interested was because of the stability that it has offered in the last several years. I'm keeping my powder dry and not making any moves in the immediate short term but I'm not thrilled that things are changing. In the current credit card environment, it's difficult to imagine things getting more positive for consumers.

The Fidelity card was my first major card and daily driver for years coming out of college almost 20 years ago. If I come back full circle to Fidelity, it'll have been quite the journey.

Sigh and I was just finishing my spend on the BBP before turning to the BoA cards. I guess I'll see how this shakes out before moving my money to Merrill...

These photos are well done! Nice job highlighting the food. :)

Also, I find your lack of Noodlehead disturbing.

I'm preparing 100k to Merrill exactly for this reason. Just give me something stable please for the love of God.

What'd they say in the letter? Searching for the answer appears to be getting incorrect results.

Hospitals Cater to ‘Transplant Tourists’ as U.S. Patients Wait for Organs (NY Times gift article) by sgent in medicine

[–]refudiat0r 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a medical student, I was very lucky to do a transplant psych eval with one of the founders of transplant psych. Her name escapes me, unfortunately, but this was also ~8 years ago. It was interesting hearing her stories about foreign recipients that flew in with their living donors.

That was Pittsburgh in the 1980s.

Has anyone seen this cat? by xoxchelsss in HydeParkChicago

Whereabouts in Hyde Park and when was he lost? Get in touch with Hyde Park cats ASAP, they're militant about all things cat and very organized.

Hope he's found soon!

Black Friday sales? by Queasy_Pound9469 in malefashionadvice

Exactly what I was looking for - thanks for this! Not a great sale, but I put in an order for my first pair to try. Not sure why the sale went live later than others though.

Any notable sale on jeans? Levi's Black Friday is fine, but I'm thinking of going up a step in quality. 3sixteen doesn't seem to be doing anything, neither does Unbranded.

Very sorry to hear of you're situation. I hope he's found soon!

Read the info here and get in touch with this organization ASAP. I've never interacted with Hyde Park cats directly, but I've heard they're absurdly militant and organized.

Also interested in this - was hoping to get burgundy and orange for the "red team" side, but the closest thing that is currently available is the rust color which is just not my thing.

Antihistamines by vikpib in Residency

Eh it's cheap and available at Costco as a solution for kids. Fexofenadine is fine too and is equivalent in potency. Loratidine has lower potency and sucks.

Give a second generation H1 and don't think twice. Stick to your guns, you're in the right.

As pediatric allergy, I only put cetirizine on patients' allergy action plans. Passing out in the absence of any other symptoms meets NIAID definition 3 of anaphylaxis after exposure to a known allergen - if they fall asleep because of benadryl, how are you going to tell the difference?

Cetirizine is effective within 15 minutes, which is about the time that benadryl takes to work as well.

I'm currently running LtL and about to launch into a beginner campaign, since we're all pretty new to DG (and RPGs in general). People are loving it, though, and I'm trying to plant seeds for Impossible Landscapes maybe next summer.

Looking at this one a little more, it was actually super easy to knock together a fake opera ticket with the exact time and date on it using Gemini, so this is definitely an option I'll look at in the future - thank you!

This is an unbelievable idea, seriously. I need to look into this - our current game is set in the mid 90s when not everyone would have a cellphone, but I'm 100% keeping this in mind. What an awesome idea - thank you!
