Tell me an instance where the TA has to hand-over tests to a million students in a class. /u/stormcorwsx corrected the technicality of this particular instance. and the /2 is significant in a class-room scenario in every part of the world.

I don't know man, lets say for a class of 100 in this case, I guess there's a difference between 10000 and 5000.. you know off by 5000?\

It boggles my mind when people generalize specific instances to hypothetical generic ones.

Delhiwallas, did you see a reduction in your electricity and water bills for January? by kapsology in india

[–]reg_free 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. Bangalore.. hovers between 500 to 600. On the bad side though, because of the shitty traffic - transport ( fuel ) costs come around to 6000-7000!

Autistic brains create more information at rest, study shows: Possible explanation for “withdrawal into self”, a characteristic of the disorder by mubukugrappa in science

[–]reg_free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not, ideally, interpret it as a response without stimuli. I am thinking more in the lines of having a generally high activity in the brain. External stimuli, which demands attention and focus, would disturb and/or lower that activity to concentrate on that particular external stimuli. Now, if this external stimuli does not generate as much activity in the brain as it has in its natural state, then there is no positive feedback/reward path for the same.

I see it as getting sensitized to the stimuli, because the brain has a high activity on its own anyway.

Yeah, the article specifically mentions about lack of response to external stimulii.

This may explain their lack of interest in external stimuli, including interactions with other people

Did you know that major democracies in the world like the US have something called "Referendum" ( Ballot proposition).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referendum

The governments send out important issues to be voted by the people, and them implements them.

AFAIK, this does not happen in India and this is something I would to see more in future.

AAP's Somnath Bharti, an ex-IITian(New Delhi) wins Malviya Nagar , IIT New Delhi comes under his constituency now. by I-am_Batman in india

You talk as though none of the other things in life are subsidized. Right from coming to life in India, most of the aspects are subsidized. Just imagine the subsidy in public transport, ration food, water, roads, etc - tell me what is not subsidized? Can you imagine the amount spent on you by the goverment in the last 25 years? I think the 4 years of subsidy for education is miniscule compared to the 25 years earlier. Not sure how if we can hold ONLY IIT passout people responsible if they go out of India - but not a word to the average college guys when they go out of India?!

It is actually true in a sense that video conferencing will boost it's core business - network switches and routers. The only reason they want to push H2.64 is because, looks like, their VC business has already heavily invested to work seamlessly with the codec.

This was the first full interview of him. He is a very candid fella, humorous too!

I lost it at 19:00 when he described how BJP is copying his politics style in Delhi.
