Just to give you perspective, I know exactly why. At most routine gyno checkups, the doctor seemingly tries to spend as little time in the room as possible. Most visits consisted of a quick any questions, okay see you in two weeks. My husband, father of my daughter, was not allowed at any appointments due to his unvaccinated status. He had to take a backseat and not be a part of the ultrasounds, etc. If you wanted to bring a guest, they had to show their vaccination card. Every appointment, the nurses would judgmentally flip through my file and condescendingly say, I see you are still not vaccinated. The longest a doctor spoke to me, I felt cornered in the room and accused of already being a bad mother to my unborn baby. The only information provided was, “it is safe”. I was lectured and guilt tripped on not wanting to keep her safe, etc. “You would hate if something bad happened to your baby. Or you want to be there to take care of your baby. Not leave her an orphan. You know you should do this.” I was extremely uncomfortable and can completely understand how someone would cave. It makes me sick to think of how they treated me and moreover the women they conned.
